Back-to-back RBI doubles for Beckham and Flowers. Both opposite field.
Single for Allen.
2-RBI double for Dayan Viciedo. Good to see him heating up.

Nope...the runner was picked off leaving early from first (on a steal attempt), Harrell noticed it, they had the runner caught between first and 2nd, then the runner from 3rd broke for home and they caught him in a rundown after the throw from Gordo.
Ah. I misread the description.
Looks like Beckham threw a runner out at home on a 1st and 3rd steal situation.
Nix 2-3, 2 BB. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if he's in Arlington on Friday night.
Charlotte- 0-0, 2nd inning. Carlos Torres on the mound. His ERA is still under 1.00.
Kannapolis- Up 2-0, 6th inning. Dexter Carter putting up 0's. 6 K's.
Birmingham starts at 11:35CT. Lucas Harrell starts.
Winston-Salem starts soon. Johnnie Lowe starts. Facing pitcher J. Mariotti.
Kannapolis won. Leesman 3-0, 1.78.
Birmingham down 2-0 top 8.
Santeliz making his 2009 debut. Replaced Poreda with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Struck out two batters to get out of it.
Final line for Poreda-
6.1 inn, 5 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, 3 k's
ERA at 2.01
Beckham 0-1, 2 BB

Eh, I miss the conference call. I get why they're doing it but I prefer the old school approach where you can knock out the first few rounds in no time at all and move on with your day. The made for TV bulls*** does nothing for me, you don't need 5+ minutes to pick a player when you can't trade picks.
I agree 100%. Especially now that it's over 3 days...GMAFB. I'll care less this year than ever.

I hope that Selig, players and fans can be there.
Kind of like NFL or NBA.
Or like last year, when it was on ESPN.

Anyone know when the last time we swept a double header was?
Last September vs Detroit. Vazquez last win with the Sox. Wise grand slam in Game 2. How quickly we forget.
