  1. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Mar 29, 2008 -> 12:00 PM) Let's just play ball! Weather permitting.
  2. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Mar 29, 2008 -> 12:29 PM) yes, he and gavin floyd. If you believe the s*** coming out of Ozzie and Kenny. Which raises a good question: who is in line to take Floyd's place in May when ozzie finally says enough? Mark my words, Gavin Floyd will have a better season than John Danks. 12 wins, 4.50 ERA
  3. I think Wassermann is going to get it. Both are done pitching before opening day, so it just tells me they are trying to trade Masset. Thornton and MacDougal will be able to pitch a couple innings at a time. I also think Wassermann can go a couple innings when needed.
  4. QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 28, 2008 -> 10:21 PM) Can never tell with relievers. Sometimes you catch lightning in a bottle like with Cotts in 05. No love for Hermanson and Politte? There were plenty of career years.
  5. I just looked through the box scores. Since the off day on March 13, Swisher is 4-40 (.100), with 8 walks. Sox win, but I think Carrasco hurt his knee on the final play of the game.
  6. Anyone notice Swisher has been brutal the last couple weeks?
  7. MacDougal actually had a better spring than I expected. I'll reserve ripping him until at least Monday.
  8. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 28, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) Hawk on the radio!! Yeah. That was hilarious when he started doing the guy's PBP. Lay off, Hawk!!
  9. Ramirez, RBI single. The Sox are going to have some serious decisions to make. This guy has to play.
  10. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 28, 2008 -> 09:20 PM) Heh, looking at the box score, Anderson left his hot play in Az. I haven't bought into the Anderson hype. Quentin is twice the player.
  11. Owens needs to be who he is--4th outfielder, pinch runner. Period.
  12. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Mar 28, 2008 -> 08:40 PM) This AAA announcing crew is better than Farmio. Can we pick one of them up, and replace Farmer. One of these guys + Stoney would be heaven. No kidding. This guy is doing the game on his own, and doing a fine job. No talk about his golf game, St. Rita, Notre Dame, and donating organs. Danks turned out to have a good outing. I think Jenks is coming in in the 6th. The thing about Danks is that every at bat seems to be a battle. He just doesn't know how to get quick out a la Buehrle.
  13. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Mar 28, 2008 -> 08:21 PM) Update Anyone? http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?g...mp;mode=gameday
  14. I'm only listening, so I didn't see it, but it sounds like a lot of hard hit balls. I'm really concerned about Danks. So many games he's up to 90 pitches by the 5th inning.
  15. Swisher-LF Cabrera-SS Thome-DH Konerko-1B Ramirez-CF Uribe-2B Hall-C Anderson-RF Huffman-3B
  16. Ozzie, Jr. has been doing some radio shows with Rongey. Ozney is in high school.
  17. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Mar 27, 2008 -> 04:50 PM) Wasn't Mike Piazza drafted in like the 61st round because he was Tommy Lasorda's godson? Oney needs to get on the roids too.
  18. QUOTE(scenario @ Mar 27, 2008 -> 01:23 PM) BTW - Both the Trib and whitesox.com are listing the start time as 2:05pm central (3:05 eastern) Correct. The last game in Arizona is always an hour earlier. presumably to give teams an extra hour for wherever they travel for the last few spring games. Sox fly to Oklahoma City tomorrow morning.
  19. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 27, 2008 -> 01:02 PM) Other than Uribe v Ozuna, and the exact oder they are in... I think that's the Opening Day lineup. Against CC, I hope Thome is dropped in the order. Or better yet, not in the lineup at all.
  20. Could be the Sox last game at TEP. Nick Swisher, CF Orlando Cabrera, SS Jim Thome, DH Paul Konerko, 1B Jermaine Dye, RF A.J. Pierzynski, C Carlos Quentin, LF Joe Crede, 3B Juan Uribe, 2B Nick Masset on the hill.
  21. QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 07:38 PM) my opening day line up: Swisher, LF Cabrera, SS Thome, DH Konerko, 1B Dye, RF Pierzynski, C Crede, 3B Uribe, 2B Ozuna, CF I think it'll be: Ozuna, Cabrera, Swisher, Konerko, Thome, Dye, Crede, Pierzynski, Anderson Game 2: Ramirez, Cabrera, Thome, Konerko, Dye, Swisher, Crede, Pierzynski, Uribe
