  1. Bold prediction: Encarnacion gets traded to an NL team. We have better options to get guys at-bats instead of playing EE everyday.
  2. It’s definitely shaping up to be an interesting next few days when it comes to the roster. Trade deadline Monday, 3pm.
  3. Delmonico was DFA to remove him from the 40-man. When he went to Schaumburg this latest time, he was optioned.
  4. Correcting myself here. Cease is starting Saturday, so probably Dunning Sunday. Twins series Giolito, Keuchel, TBA
  5. I like it from the standpoint that the bullpen will probably be shorter in October. They can afford to have a second defensive replacement and a good pinch running option. Maybe he can replace “whoever” in extra inning games too.
  6. Hopefully the forecast is a little better and they play tonight. 7-inning games should be a last resort. Not an appealing option.
  7. Zack spells his name Zack. So does Zack Burdi. They’re both Zack. Zack.
  8. If they had to play a one game play-in if they lost, then I’d definitely care if the Sox won the division. When it’s eight teams playing a best-of-three in empty parks, I really don’t care how it falls this season. They’ll be playing somebody around September 29-October 1, and they’ll need to win two games.
  9. It’s a good practice series if it ends up being 2-7 or 3-6 in the first round. Giolito, Keuchel, Cease too.
  10. Seven AL teams with a 97.5% or higher chance of making the playoffs, plus Blue Jays with 65%. Are we really rooting for seeding? Empty parks and no re-seeding after the first round (that you can be gone after losing 2 of 3), the AL is playing meaningless games for the next month. Yes, we want our players to do well, stay healthy, and get wins. But there are no tough losses or big wins for AL teams in the next month. Once the playoffs start, nobody will care who won the divisions...and especially after the quick 2 of 3 first round.
  11. Twins 20-12 Indians 19-12 White Sox 19-12 Yankees lost twice today, that could help in the seeding eventually.
  12. I was referring to weather Friday night. Not supposed to be very good.
  13. Wouldn’t be surprised if they bail on playing Friday and opt for two 7- inning games Saturday.
  14. 12 down. 12 to go. AL Central will have three teams with over .600 winning percentage.
  15. You’re probably right there. Vaughn will be up next year unless there’s a major injury. If they can play 15 pitchers and 13 position players, then the position guys should be: OF: Jimenez, Robert, Mazara, Engel IF: Moncada, Anderson, Madrigal, Abreu, Sanchez, Mendick Catchers: Grandal, McCann, Collins There’s enough at bats there for everyone while Yolmer is mostly cheerleading.
  16. Trade Encarnacion, Mazara, Goins, and Collins for Madrigal, Vaughn, Sanchez, and Dunning, then ride or die.
  17. I wouldn’t be surprised if they air it Thursday night at 7.
  18. Early June, 2000 including sweeping 3 in Cleveland and 4 in New York was pretty special at the time. Sox went 14 out of 15.
  19. No pandemic, I’m sure Giolito would have no hit the Red Sox tonight. They suck too.
