Really hope they bring up Madrigal on Friday in KC. They drafted him 4th to be the future 2B. He's the best defensive 2B they have and he was hitting in AA and AAA last year. This season is a little wacky, granted. But just play him. Bat him 9th. Let him make all of the plays, and see what he does for 50 games.

This is strike one for MLB. I’m glad they’re continuing, but once they get to strike three, they’re done. It’s going to take a lot of luck and diligence to get these nine weeks completed.

Hopefully they can get past this, but have it be a warning not to get in each other’s faces. Be miserable for 9 weeks...it may make you millions of dollars someday. Well, they tried. Even if they have to shut down the season, it was better for the game to do the summer camps, play some ball, and stay in the public view. It would have been much worse for MLB if they went from 2019 World Series to 2021 Opening Day (whenever that is), and then have an expiring CBA to boot.

Weather permitting. Indians don’t have Thursday off like the Sox, so maybe two tomorrow if they can’t get it in tonight. And remember the new game suspension rules. If they play under 5 innings, it still counts until they can resume the game.

May rain in Cleveland tomorrow night. Other than that, the road trip looks good. Not going to be hot in Kansas City next weekend, which is nice.
