  1. Masur and DJ have been good, and you know what’s happened 10 seconds before you see it.
  2. Keuchel on the mound tomorrow. Got to make the plays or no playoffs.
  3. Ok, here comes the inning that makes it all better. We got this.
  4. Radio feed is ahead of tv, but enjoying Masur/DJ. Not bad at all.
  5. And then he goes on the IL. I want to know what the story is with Ian Hamilton. He was optioned to Charlotte instead of going to Schaumburg, so is it possible he’s still in Chicago waiting for Gio to make his one appearance?
  6. I bet Moncada sits tomorrow afternoon no matter what, so make it count tonight, Yo! (thinking about it, not sure I want Moncada off the field when Keuchel is out there. Sit Sunday.)
  7. In- Yankees, Twins, Astros, A’s, Rays Out- Blue Jays, Orioles, Red Sox, Tigers, Royals, Mariners Playing for 3 spots- White Sox, Indians (one or two in), Angels, Rangers I’ll say Rangers last out
  8. Buffalo Blue Jays. Good move. Glad they didn’t have to play the whole season on the road.
  9. The Braves don’t have Flowers or d’Arnaud tonight. Tested negative, but don’t feel well. If I’m a catcher or umpire, and a batter spits at the plate, you would get an earful.
  10. As far as I can tell, there are 26 in Schaumburg, plus Mazara. Ian Hamilton wasn’t sent to the taxi squad. Pitchers- Anderson, Burdi, Burr, Crochet, Dunning, Flores, Foster, Guerrero, Johnson, Lail, Lindgren, McRae, Mejia, Mitchell, Ruiz, Sousa, Stiever Catchers- Mercedes, Zavala Infield- Goins, Madrigal, Vaughn Outfield- Adolfo, Basabe, Gonzalez, Rutherford
  11. Hitting .400 would be a footnote of the season, not an actual all time accomplishment. Hitting .400 in early June, as rare as that’s been- nobody really expects that to last...and hasn’t for 79 years. it probably won’t happen anyway with loaded pens and starters emptying the tank more, only having to make 12 starts instead of 33.
  12. Going to try not to get into a back and forth here, but I think the next CBA needs to address tanking and the overall model of competition. But in the end, I want it to be difficult to make the postseason in baseball. That reflects the grind of 162. You win 86 to 89 games, there’s a good chance you’ll either come up just short or in the wildcard round. That’s exciting for the teams that make it, and hurts the teams that don’t. That’s what I like about the last couple weeks of the season.
  13. I know it! With this one decision, I care so much less about the start of the season. The urgency for wins and the possibility of a crazy last two weeks of the season...now it’s a formality. Boring.
