No on Kopech.
Forgot about Moncada too. I’ve had a few of those baseball memory things the last couple months- Encarnacion: oh yeah he’s on the team. Last week I looked up Eloy to see if this was his second or third season.
No rush on handing out 150 mil, but I understand the off field concern. Just have to see what happens while he's under team control. Going to be an interesting next few years in baseball (and everything else).
These 60 games (hopefully) may be the perfect selling point for Betts. Big market, up and coming, willing to pay...it may be right player/right time. I’m high on Mazara more than most, but if Betts is there, holy shitake mushrooms.
Could be. First six games are huge with the Twins and Indians. Hopefully in the end, the Sox at least split with the Indians and Twins, and go 7-3 vs Tigers and Royals. Can’t lose more than one game a series with them. Going to be an interesting and exciting 60 games if they can pull this off.

Just depends if it’s the last game of the series. There will be more suspended games this season because they won’t be waiting for 3 hours if they have a game the next day and they know the weather will be more favorable.
And another thing they can do is change start times earlier if they know the forecast is worse later on, like they do in the PGA.
...and new rules with suspended games. Games may get called before the 5th, and they'll pick up where they left off the day before...or when they face each other again.
Last four series:
Sox- 4 vs Min, 3 at Cin, 4 at Cle, 3 vs Cubs
Min- 4 at Sox, 3 at Cubs, 2 vs Det, 3 vs Cin
Cle- 2 at Cubs, 4 at Det, 4 vs Sox, 3 vs Pit
Fans of teams that are great the first 20 games: “This season is awesome!”
Fans of teams that suck the first 20 games: “This season is bullshit anyway.”
Saw a different version of the Cubs schedule...and it does look like 10 vs the four division teams. Either 7 home/3 away, or the reverse. So yeah, it better not be 14 road games vs the Twins and Indians.
The Cubs have 14 home vs Cardinals and Brewers, and 14 road vs Reds and Pirates.
Definitely not the 10 vs division opponents and 4 vs opposite division opponents.
It’ll be a mix of 9 to 11 in the division, over 3 series; and 3, 4, or 6 games vs the NL Central.
Right, but now that they’re with each other, you would hope the peer pressure to follow all of the protocols is heavy. It’s three months- maybe four if you’re good. “Follow the rules. Don’t ruin it for everyone else.” That needs to be the daily reminder.
Wonder if it's going to be just a 2-gamer on September 26 and 27. Might be a different looking schedule with odd start/end days of the week than we're used to seeing,
