Just looked at some of the remaining schedules of the 8 to 14 teams. These three games with the Sox are the Angels last games against an under-.500 team. They’re toast. I think the Sox finish with a better record than the Pirates, Angels, Reds, and Padres and get the 12th pick. But if the Rangers and Giants tank too, it could be as low as 14th if the Sox go 14-8, with the easiest schedule by far.

If the Indians fall back in the wildcard over the next 10 days, the Sox could have their last 22 games against teams that aren’t playing for anything. I’m just assuming they’ll go 14-8 for 76-86, and the 11-13th pick range.
