Eh, we’ve come this far…let’s get it all. Sox were an AL team in 1916, so it should count for something. Split with the Angels, get swept by the Padres and Tigers and finish 38-124 (.2345679).
A 7-game losing streak would be nice right about now.
121- beats the Mets by losses (5-6)
122- beats the Mets by percentage (4-7)
124- beats the A’s by percentage (2-9)
1-2, 0-3, 1-2, 1-2 to finish a 38-124 season.
That’s what I want for Reinsdorf to wear the worst winning percentage for a season since the White Sox have been an AL team. Go Halos.
There’s a few ways of looking at the record…pre-1900 included, total losses, worst percentage. I want them to be worse than the 1916 A’s by winning percentage…so 38-124. 5-11 or worse.
Will be the 40th player to make his Sox debut this season. 27 was the previous franchise record. And will be the 61st player used overall- also a franchise record. But Getz and company are doing a bang up job.
In my opinion 40-122 would be the modern record, so 10-21 the last 31. I’m thinking they get a few wins more than usual when they get down to the last 15. We’ll see how bad the next 16 go. I’m hoping for under 40 wins. Let’s go all the way with this thing.
