There used to be games that got rained out after 5 innings that ended in a tie, but were made up fully later on. The stats counted. That’s why some players have played 163 games in a season.
I take it this is the “double hook” rule? So if it’s fewer than 6, you lose the DH? I like it. Train starters in the minors to go longer. It shouldn’t be a big deal if a starter goes 100-110 pitches every five days. And god forbid a guy has a no hitter and pushes to a 125 to create a memory once in a while. Do it.
AL Playoffs based on first 108:
Twins at Yankees…winner plays Guardians
Royals at Mariners…winner plays Orioles
Sox are 5-5 vs Guardians, so it’s not like they’re the ones getting them the 1-seed.
And the Twins vs Yankees again…they gawn.
Just a reminder the last win was game 1 of doubleheader. They lost the three previous games, so the last 20 times they’ve left the park, it was after a loss. 37-125? I think it’s doable.
I don’t know. Every player is an independent contractor at the end of the day. Getting an everyday opportunity is valuable. A lot of players don’t get that with the Dodgers.
Every 27…
5-22, 10-17, 6-21, 6-21
Incredible. If they match the previous 54 the final 54, it’s a 39-123 season. Um, wow!
Fire everyone! Sell the team! 10th pick…what a fucking joke.
