  1. It's gonna be a major challenge for Loaiza to prove that 2003 was no fluke. But i'm glad he's back. He's earned the right to show what he can do...
  2. It's gonna take me the entire off-season to muster up enough passion and strength to want to watch this team next year. If we're rebuiling I probably won't even bother.
  3. I agree with what most of what u said. But what really gets me is that this is the worst division in all of baseball and we still couldn't get it done. If we were in the al east or west and came up short I wouldn't have a problem with it. The Twins r nowhere near as good as they were last year and they're gonna be playin in October again. All they basically did was stay close and take advantage of a cupcake September schedule...f*** THIS TEAM :fyou
  4. I'm totally down with the it's not over till it's over theory. And I would have some solid faith if the Twins were even playin Tampa Bay 7 times. But they're playing the 38-112 Detroit Tigers 7 more times. And the real sad thing about it is 8 of those 38 wins came against us. I fully expect the Twins to win all 7 gms... Come on not even Frank Sinatra can help us now....Im normally an optimist but it is OVER...Spell it out everyone.... O-V-E-R Go Sox!!!!!!!!!!! I hate to say it. But you're right. I thought we might have had a REALLY SLIM chance if we could take 2 of 3. But it looks as if we're gonna drop this 2nd game...
  5. I've seen this comin for a while. I'd rather have them sucked all year long then to tease us with flashes of great play only to fail in the end. I am 1 pissed off Sox fan right now. It's gonna take me the whole off-season to recover from this season's debacle to even wanna watch this team next season...

  7. Just got back from work. I see we're already down 3-0. This team is pathetic. We got a lot of guys that talk the talk. But when it comes down to it never walk the walk...
  8. Forgive me if I don't expect any help from the 38-112 Tigers in the 7 gms they play the Twins. I admire Sox fans that refuse to give up. But reality is reality. We've got 30 gms above .500 talent. Especially when u consider the weakness of the division. We've had plenty of chances to put some distance in between ourselves and the Twins. Now we're 1 gm back in the loss department. Say we win the next 2. U really expect the Twins in SEPTEMBER to lose to Detroit? Even once. I sure as hell don't...
  9. That's pretty much what it comes down to. I don't see how 2 teams who were expected to battle for the division title all year long get completely different schedules in September when the gms count most. I realize in the end everybody has played the same schedule. But somethin just ain't right about us playing the Yanks and Red Sox in Sept while they're playin the Tigers and Indians. Look at the Cubs in their division. They've been playin cupcakes all month. It just doesn't seem right. At the beginning of the year the Royals looked like the worst team in the division. To blame the schedule is foolhearty. I realize that. But u would be hard pressed to ever name a year in which 2 teams that were expected to contend in Sept had such vastly different schedules.
  10. I've been a Sox fan for 14 years now and I must say this has been without a doubt the most dissapointing season I have ever experienced as a White Sox fan. When last season ended it wasn't that tough cause I realized we just didn't have the pitching. But to go out and add a 20 gm winner in Bartolo Colon, A 44 save guy in Billy Koch. Tom Gordon, And then in one of the steals of the 21 century Estaban Loaiza u figure the team has a great shot at winning a WEAK division. Then we suck the 1st 3 months and it looks like the season over. So instead of just sucking the rest of the year and sparring Sox fans anymore heartache they actually start playin well for a couple weeks. So well Kenny Williams goes out and adds 2 very good players in Alomar and Everett. Then later on adds a couple of solid arms in the pen. So u have to assume that no way in hell a team with this type of talent in a s***TY division doesn't win. But somehow some MOTHERf***IN way. We found a way to f*** it up. As a Sox fan I sit in total disbelief that a team with Yankees-Redsox talent failed to win a PIECE OF s*** DIVISION. This is much worse than 94. Atleast we can say we don't know what would've happened. But oh well. Let me know what u guys think...

  13. Buehrle has been ok. If you're talkin about 2nd half mvp's as far as the pitchers go i'll take Bartolo. Other than that Rangers gm where he gave up 9 runs he's been outstanding. Loaiza is also 8-2 since the break.
  14. I knew he was gonna step it up. But god damn. Another complete gm against the best offense in baseball? Say what u want about Bartolo. But the guy is a competitor. I want him back next year. Whatever it takes.
  15. Not only Dan Wrights 14 wins...But the fact that he finished last season 7-2 with a 3.90 era in his last 9 starts. It looked as if he was really turning the corner. I guess he never fully recovered from the spring training injury. Very, very dissapointing season from Wright.
  16. This is a hard team to figure out. I'm really dissapointed that we couldn't take atleast 3 of 4 in this series. It goes back to the same crap. Unless we're httin 10 hr's a gm we can't consistently score runs...
  17. Carlos has had his best season this year. But he's the last guy I wanna see at the plate with runners in scoring position during key moments in a game...
  18. True...But those things get u world series...While hr's get u 3 and out...
  19. If my memory serves me right I think Santana was the August pitcher of the month in the al. But I like our chances. The way we swing the bats at home I'd have to give us the edge. And we got Garland goin tonight who seems to be getting better and better each start. He's 5-3 with a 3.76 era since the break. Not bad from your 4th starter...
  20. In 50 gms since the all-star break the Sox r hitting .297 as a team with a team slugging percentage of .525. This includes an incredible 94 hr's during that span to go along with a total of 308 runs. Carlos Lee= .340 14 hr's 46 rbi since the break Magglio Ordonez= .375 10 hr's 34 rbi since the break Paul Konerko= .329 13 hr's 43 rbi since the break Joe Crede= .329 10 hr's 27 rbi since the break I just think this has been one of the best offensive shows for atleast a 50 gm stretch the Sox have ever put on in their history. Now if we could just get that small ball thing down...lol
  21. Well if Hunter does do it he's an idiot too. But our guys r better then that.
