Esteban would certainly win the Cy Young if he lead the league in wins, K's, and ERA. That would be awesome to see. Who knew he would be such a stud this year. Before the All-Star break, I remember hearing one of the Baseball Tonight guys saying Esteban wouldn't be able to keep it up. f*** Baseball tonight. GO SOX!!!

Don't hire Sandy as manager. I don't think he'd be ready to manage. I would love to see him as a bullpen coach or working with out young talent. I don't care how, but he has to be back next year. I'm surprised how he has settled in Chicago after playing all those years in Cleveland. Sandy will probably get a bunch of offers to be sometime of coach next year from several teams. GO SOX!!!

Don't be so sure about how many teams will be looking at Robbie. I think St. Louis would be content to let Bo Hart, 26 years old, play 2B next year. I would be willing to bet that St. Louis looks to spend their money this offseason on pitching, starting and relieving. Last I heard, Texas was happy with Michael Young, 26. Maybe that has changed, but he's a good young player. He makes $250,000 a year, and they could spend their money on pitching as well. His stats: .303, 13 hr, 67 rbi. I would think the Dodgers, Milwaukee, and Pittsburgh would be most likely teams to show interest. I'd be surprised to see Robbie anywhere but wearing the black and white in Chicago next year. GO SOX!!!

It's on WGN. Thank goodness, I can watch then. GO SOX!!!

If you bring Livan Hernandez in here, he'll be the number 3 starter. He's having a good year, and until Garland is ready to explode, I'd leave him in the fourth spot.

I don't know if I'm gonna be doing tomorrow's pbp. I'm gonna be watching the ISU/Illini football game, and I don't even know if we're getting the Sox game down here on our Fox affiliate. If your at the U of I, you get the Sox games. I was down there over the summer, and one of my friends goes there and he keeps me updated on all the games.

Yeah he can pitch, but that whole gay porn thing is pretty f***ed up.

That's why you should cheer for the Astros even more. They are the only NL Central team with a good bullpen. I think the Astros will win the NL Central, I'm sure going to be cheering for them. :fthecubs

Ouch, I hope he gets 100% better. I feel bad for the guy.

They did just change there logo. It was the jay flexing with a maple leaf on his arm. That's on ugly ass logo now. I wouldn't want to wear that.

Um, Josh Paul wasn't traded. He was designated for assignment and he declined, making himself a free agent. He was then signed by the Cubs to a minor league contract. He's been playing for the Iowa Cubs since. I wish Josh well, sucks he's on the Cubs though.

Sidney Ponson has always been a mediocre pitcher. He always looked like he had good stuff, just didn't seem to pan out until this season. I think that the ESPN article may have something there, but he still has to go and perform even then. It doesn't look like he only pitched against lower pitchers. And atleast you know he could be a number 2 or 3 since he can beat most 3's. Obviously the Orioles wanted alot of Ponson, but I think he was worth it for the Giants. He doesn't have to be their ace, they have Jason Schmidt. I would laugh if Ponson signs with the O's after this season too.

Such a brilliant move. He should help them for many years to come. Too bad the Sox could only get Sullivan.

Actually, I heard that teams have an extra day to submit their rosters. I may be wrong, but I think it would make sense. Let all the workers have the day off, obviously the teams are going to play though.

I could have sworn I heard Dan Patrick say, "and the North Siders go for a sweep in the Bronx," when they were showing Frank hitting. What the hell?

Man, I go to college in Michigan, all the people here are Lions fans. When I say I'm from suburbs of Chicago, some people ask if I'm a Bears fan. I say yeah, they say sorry like being a Bears fan is a bad thing. The Bears are better than the damn Lions.
-
That guys was cool. I wondered what had happened to him. That kind of sucks, I'm sure some teams would love a guy like that.

I'm going to college and I've been spoiled having all the White Sox games televised. Now I'm in Michigan at Michigan State and I'm stuck with the Tigers games and only the games on WGN. I saw tonight's game, but I know I will miss many. I heard someone mention watching the game on a gamecast. Where can I find it? Thanks.

Awesome!!!

That'd be great to be in first again after that awful trip out west.

Ahhhh.. naps.... I wish I had a job where I could sit at a desk and be on Soxtalk for the majority of the day. Being in college is rougher than people think! Oh you're not kidding. College is so tough. I seem to have an awful lot of free time. Thankfully I only have to be up before 11 am on Mondays and Wednesdays.

I remember when he was traded to the Rockies from the D'Backs. I read somewhere that the Rockies where not paying much for him, the D'Backs were. This is a good move for the Cubs, I'd take Tony Womack anyday over Augie Ojeda. Has Ojeda gotten a hit yet this season? They need Grudz to come back though. I am glad we got Robbie and not Womack.

Every team goes through a losing streak. Twins lost almost ten games in a row before the AS break if I recall. You guys just don't have any faith. We are three games back in the worst division in the AL. Not one of the teams have shown that they are the best of the AL Central. When the Sox win, you guys act like they are unstoppable and can never lose again. When they lose, you guys act like its the end of the world. One second you guys are all on the Bartolo Colon bandwagon saying you love him, then bash him after a bad start. Next time he has a good start, there will be a thread saying how Colon is "God." It is all about the big picture. It is a no win situation for the Sox. If they win, it's not enough. If they lose, they suck and have no shot at the playoffs because they didn't win on a given day and didn't have enough heart. It is all nonsense. When I first found this site a few months ago, it was not cluttered with so much junk. Everyone is just on bandwagons and there is only a handful of people who stand behind their opinion when it is challenged. Most of the threads now are saying the seasons over, which it's not, or saying how bad some of the players or coaches suck. It is kind of disapointing to see what people are posting now. I'm sorry to say but alot of it seems like ignorance. Go White Sox ~ AL Central Division Champions 2003

I remember hearing he was going to sign August 15th. Today is the 15th and I haven't heard anything. Does anyone have any information?
