  1. It seems like Giambi will win. You know Major League Baseball wants another Yank in the game. They don't want Frank Thomas. The thing that agrivates me is the Asian fans voting for Matsui and Ichiro a zillion times. I say MLB should put who deserves to be an AS in the game. I do not think Matsui deserves to be an AS, no the less start.
  2. Got to go with Jenkins. He's a Cub killer and he's been having a quality season.
  3. Man, what a f***ing joke of a series.
  4. oh s*** that was a close call
  5. Big Hurt yeah, one more run lets go.
  6. Honestly though, I do not think Danny Graves will be able to go all 9 innings. He is a converted reliever pitching from a 4 man rotation. If I was the Reds, I wouldn't risk him staying in too long and not being full strength for his next start.
  7. 3-0, why oh why are we sucking versus the s***ty Rays?
  8. Why a pick of Steve Mariucci?
  9. Geez, we just keep getting in trouble. First and third with no outs in bottom of the 7th. Olivo should have throw to 1st base.
  10. I do agree, sometimes I would rather just have it given to me. I don't always want to go site hopping.
  11. I do no think he will be able to win a gold glove yet. If you look at this stats as of this point, I see Bengie Molina deserving the gold glove. Molina - .998 fielding %, 21 of 49 runners caught, 1 error, 74 games (67 started) Olivo - .987 fielding %, 12 of 40 runners caught, 5 errors, 61 games (53 started) Posada - .993 fielding %, 17 of 60 runners caught, 4 errors, 73 games (69 started) Davis - .992 fielding %, 12 of 26 runners caught, 2 errors, 45 games (40 started) I see these guys as some of the best candidates.
  12. Then strikes out. Man, based loaded, no outs and we get nothing.
  13. I would like to see Wright as the closer. It would be easier to see Koch come in to the game in the 6th and 7th innings, than the 9th.
  14. That would be an awful trade. If KW makes a trade like that, I would expect him to be fired. We do need to have some guys in our system, not just trade them all away. Gordon has been pitching well, why trade him.
  15. It was two seasons ago I do believe. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the 2002 AL Rookie of the Year Eric Hinske play all year at third for the Jays. I could have sworn he was with the Orioles during part of the 2001 season too.
  16. I wouldn't mind Tony Batista (.259, 15 HR, 57 RBI in 317 AB) either. That would be an upgrade, but I would not want to pay the rest of his $6.4 million salary unless the Orioles took some of our high-priced players, ie Konerko. I would take Jason Johnson (7-3, 3.89 ERA, 90.1 IP).
  17. Isn't it great. The Sox go and add two quality players and are playing some awesome ball. While the Cubs couldn't get the guy they wanted (Lowell), and are playing awful baseball. What a great feeling.
  18. Alomar was hitting in the 2nd slot and obviously playing second base.
  19. Oh, I would love him here too. But think what the Twins would say if we called them and asked if he was available. They'd say give us Loaiza, Cotts, and a bunch of our other cheap kids. They'd say that cause they know, or I hope, would never do that.
  20. Seriously. The Twins, our biggest rival to win the division, is going to trade us one of their best players. Yeah, okay. That will NEVER, EVER happen.
  21. Can't be. I just turned it on and it is 2-2 in top of the second. It brings back memories to see Ozzie Guillen and all the old Sox playing. One thing that was kind of ironic is that there was an in-game highlight of the Pirates scoring on the Phillies. It was Loaiza winning that game 1-0 in the 4th.
  22. Um, if we do trade PK for a pitcher, wouldn't Daubach DH everyday, and Everett still play CF?
  23. As much as I hate to say it, Everyday Eddy is better than our closer.
