  1. Do you guys remember at the all star break, I believe the White Sox had the best team ERA in baseball, or at least right up there. Remeber how pissed we were that the Sox didn't have a single pitcher representing them on the all star team? How things have changed.
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:12 PM) These are the same f***s who threw s*** on the field because they didn't get a call. Jag bags they are. I forgot about that. That was absurd. Nothing would be sweeter than getting one more shot at those mother f*ckers.
  3. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 09:50 PM) im as pissed off as every other sox fan out there right now. they blew it this series vs the Twins and that horrible umpire. However, i'll be there tommorow cheering this team on. Its not over till its over. KC is playing good baseball right now. And reading what Meche and Buck said, they were hoping Minny would sweep us so those games they play mean something. Well they mean a lot guys, we couldn't get the job, but i'll be praying you guys do. They have nothing to lose... those teams are scary to face. Thank goodness we are finished with the road. The 2008 White Sox were brutal on the road. However, our home record should at least give us some hope (51-26). White Sox vs Cleveland at home: 6-0!!! Great post. I agree with everything you have to say here, and I think this is the best way to look at the current situation.
  4. That sounds terrible. I could tell just by watching on TV that those fans seemed beyond obnoxious. I live in Chicago so obviously I go to almost all of my Sox games at The Cell. I have never seen anything beyond friendly heckling. Also I went to a game in Cleveland about a month ago. Actually it was the game Quentin hurt himself. My overall impression was that I could not believe how friendly the fans were there. Granted it may have had something to do with the fact that the Indians were already out of the race, but I found the people of Cleveland to be beyond friendly. After the game we went out to a bar near Progressive Stadium and we had a group of people buy us a round of beers, and just wanting to talk baseball. It was an overall great experience. Sorry to hear about your experience. Keep the faith. Maybe, just maybe we will get a shot at revenge.
  5. Please, please, please let us score some runs right now.
  6. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 01:25 PM) Actually, watching the Sox choke doesn't bother me at all - well, it does, but not to the point of not wanting to watch. You know what bothers me, and was the reason I turned off the game in the 4th in game 1 and in the 1st in game 2? Hawk. It was either turn it off, mute it, or listen to the Twins announcers (I have mlb.tv). Hawk is unbearable to listen to during Twins games, so I just follow the game on Gamecast while I do something else. I agree. I generally like Hawk, but listening to him this series has been terrible. I have been muting the TV myself. I think that Hawk is actually fed up with this team, and would like to the Sox play a brand of baseball more like the Twins.
  7. I will watch the game tonight. But I will definitely avoid all sports radio, newspapers, and sports websites. I will also avoid all White Sox related conversation with anyone unless I know for a fact they are a real White Sox fan. Someone is bound to say something about the Sox today that is really going to piss me off.
  8. Man they are just making the White Sox look silly.
  9. Very important to set the tone and get some runs in here.

    Soxtalk

So this was my first year on Soxtalk. Actually prior to this year I didn't even realize White Sox blogs existed. I don't post to often, but I check the site pretty much everyday. I have really enjoyed using this site as another way to follow the White Sox. It's been a lot of fun reading the opinions and thoughts of lots of other people who love the Sox just as much as I do. Anyway it looks like the season could very well come down to this series. Just wanted to say it's been a fun season (hopefully much more to come), and thank those of you who make this site possible. GO SOX. I literally cannot wait to be at home on my couch watching this game tonight. Productivity at work today has been minimal.
  11. I really don't know whether I should be nervous, excited, scared, or confident right now. I'm gonna say Sox take two out of three. It will be interesting to see if Ozzie calling out Javy makes a difference. I think it will. I want to be on my couch with beer in hand watching the game RIGHT NOW.
  12. I din't turn on the radio, look at the paper, check espn.com, or anything until right now for fear of what I would see. This sounds like good news.
  13. The Office is on TBS if anyone needs a break from this. That's what I'm about to do. Good night.... this blows.
  14. Wish we could have gotten at least one more in that inning but oh well. I've heard a few interviews with McDonough now and after every one the only conclusion that I can come to is that he seems like a very classy guy.
