  1. I know where Caulfield got his numbers and maybe the Sox were bottom two in revenue, but they most certainly took in well over, WELL OVER, $300M in revenue. They get over $200M without lifting a finger or a butt in the seat. I'd be good if that went back into the "cookie jar", but it goes straight to Jerry's fat ass wallet and is never to be used again.
  2. Merrill is also more than a year younger.
  3. Jerry will come back and cry poor no matter what. I don't want Vaughn or Jose, but it's not like that's going into a "piggy bank" to use down the road. Any and all savings, on a yearly basis, are going into JR's pocket. Yes, I would want to sign as many former/younger/failed "prospects" as possible and hope to hit lighting in a bottle and then trade them for a Lotto ticket. Getz sucks at trades so does it really matter? I guess the best hope is Getz becomes better at trades or I'd just rather JR eat the loss. And by "loss", I mean less of a profit.
  4. You forgot Getz signed two 1B/DH types for 40% of their budget (who sucked and are not crazy young for the DSL). Jerry will sell the remaining allotment for cash in his pocket.
  5. Good deal for a gadget guy (he can't run the route tree - a quick screen or fly). WR market is crazy.
  6. Yes. Burns put himself on the auction block last year and wanted $1M to transfer. Wake ponied up and he transferred. And then he got over $9M in a signing bonus for being drafted #2. I'd bet on myself all day if I wasn't a top pick. I'd rather collect some $ and go to Wake than spend 3 years tooling around in Akron for the Guardians.
  7. Just curious? What would someone like Rainer or Griffin get in terms of NIL money playing in the SEC (Texas, LSU)? Is it really possible to go under slot on a top HS guy? I get Chase Burns was 'established' , but was rumored to be offered $1M for a year at LSU.
  8. He made his own bed (no pun intended). I can't get rid of the image of Yoan, Eloy and Robert getting paid generational wealth and taking a siesta for half the season.
  9. Not saying Sportsvision was a good idea, but a $100 box brought you the Sox/Hawks and boobs......
  10. There's probably 10-12K season tickets and that's how they say tickets sold. I know, I'm one of them. I'm only planning on one game this year 5/25 (I have great seats and can break even and keep the seats just in case they're good in 3-5 years). I'd like to cheer for that team despite their prospect hoarding GM and former douche owner. I still cannot believe the Brewers took such a low return on Burns. They could've been right there with the Dodgers/Braves if they didn't want to take as much profit as Jerry does.
  11. He was pretty much in a contract year anyway. They voided the last 3 years where Diggs had zero guaranteed money, so he was going to hold out/request a trade or be cut with a zero cap hit. Houston is still paying Diggs a $1M less than the Bears are paying Allen this year. Diggs is clearly better than Allen this year, but I don't know how to weigh the 50 pick difference in draft capital and it being a 2024 vs a 2025 pick.
  12. April fools was 3 days ago. This has to be a joke. That's a list of people he had nothing to do with and the rest is a list of suckage.
  13. Tomlin's connections also told him that tOSU has produced one QB in the last half century.
