  1. Just watched Jim Kaat throw JR under the bus (MLB Hot Stove) for saying there's no way DA belongs in the HOF. How I can't stand that the owner of my favorite team is a piece of shit.
  2. 31/140 might be "running the shit out of the ball" for Nagy. The offense scored 7 points in the 2nd half and gave away the game winning 7 points at the end of the game. The defense is/was way overrated and the offensive play calling was garbage. Whoever called plays, played to not lose and it still blew up in their face. They took a 10 point lead and then proceeded to run 3 series, that totaled 9 plays and 0 yards, plus the game losing turnover. It was a complete failure from both sides of the ball.......
  3. Probably not. The city of Philadelphia has a wage tax, in addition to the state income tax.
  4. You really shouldn't be confused. At best, the Bears are mediocre.
  5. Actually the Cardinals hacked the Astros.
  6. He's got to go this offseason. His game management is inexcusable. I don't know the best replacement, but I'd definitely interview Matt Quatraro.
  7. It doesn't make a difference which side anyone is on....the nobody manager shouldn't throw the face of the franchise under the bus to the media. There do need to be rules, but that was a BS move by the manager to take it outside the clubhouse.
  8. Thome loves coaching his kids. I don't see that as a realistic option.
  9. The testing is ridiculous. My boss was exposed because the office manager had the office mail forwarded to her home. And someone in her house was then taken to the hospital and confirmed with the virus. She then FedEx'd the mail that belongs to my department to my boss (without knowing she was already exposed). He contacted his doctor and was told there was a zero chance he'd be tested (Naperville hospital). I've been working remotely since 3/12 and have been pretty diligent so I'm not that worried, but testing is for shit!
  10. I'm going to guess the comment was related to China having roughly 5x the population of the U.S.
  11. I know there's multiple of pages of posts after this, but I took a quick look at the splits from 2017 and the Astros were a 'decent' amount worse, offensively, at home than on the road in the 2nd half of 2017. Maybe they had guys injured in that 2nd half, but if that's when they really kicked their cheating into gear they weren't very good at it.
  12. Minooka was way overseeded, but that's the playoff points seeding method. You'd think they could put Soucie, Edgy Tim, a Quad Cities reporter, someone from Springfield in a room and give them more legitimate seedings, but it is what it is. It's high school so anything can happen, but Rice and Marist will both be heavy underdogs next week.
  13. Sorry, but late to the party. Where is the support that the Sox spent the above? Maybe it's true, but is that because they didn't spend in the draft, scouting, managers and data analysis?
  14. Winovich should give his signing bonus to Gary because he doesn't have near the production if Gary isn't doubled every play.
  15. Absolutely and that doesn't count all the profits from the previous years that are supposedly going back into the club........ And don't confuse that statement that we should spend it all this offseason if they will really use it in the future.
  16. I wasn't just talking football. Look across their entire program. They dominate basketball and baseball. I get Kansas has open enrollment, but Aquinas pulls any kid in the metro with a pulse. Johnson County and Wichita dominate football because, as mentioned previously, those cities/programs have big dollars and fund the youth programs. St. Thomas dominates while a ton of public schools in close proximity can't even field remotely competitive teams. I get that BR has to "split" with a lot of other nearby private schools, but who in their right mind sends their kid to one of the public schools near there? What parent is going to send their kid to Joliet West or Central when JCA is offering a free ride?, ect. I don't know the exact answer for a recruiting multiplier, but recruiting is most certainly not exaggerated.
  17. Just research St. Thomas Aquinas in your own backyard for your answer.....
  18. This is exactly correct. They've played two legit QB's...one that played half the game on one leg and another with one of the worst WR crews around. The Bears can't stop a decent hurry up/spread offense. Their pass defense is the pass rush...they don't get there and they can't cover me in a phone booth. And don't give me any stats that says Amos, Jackson is good, ect (just like MLB defensive metrics are complete BS)...ya'all saw the tape and have seen the tape.
  19. I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me the 16 guilty counts of aggravated battery seems to be that he was guilty for even firing the 1st shot. Is that a correct assessment for the verdict?
  20. Club level seats do not grant access to the stadium club so you need a separate ticket to get into the actual "Club". With 3 girls under 10 it works for me to pay to have access to 'private' bathrooms on days that are crowded, plus the option on rainy/hot, ect days for a spot to get away. The view for the game is pretty crappy unless you make a reservation and sit on the window. The food is good and there's no wait, but you pay for everything you buy and it's credit card only.
  21. i'll assume you mean that Tech never produced NFL QB talent. Mahomes is a different cat from those other rag arm guys. He has the strongest arm in the NFL. And don't kid yourself about the "Air-Raid" offense. It's going to be the norm in the NFL. There's a reason 26 teams sent coaches to OU the past two years to learn from Lincoln Riley. Trubisky was raw because he never played/couldn't beat out a scrub and Mahomes dominated in an offense that the NFL is now adopting. Mitch might turn out fine, but he's miles behind Mahomes at this point.
  22. Is that really the case? They have 6+ years to "make it right" to him. IMO, the Sox offered him a team friendly contract to buy out his arb years and he declined. That seems like he's chasing the money and more power to him if he bets on himself to outperform any previous offer. The Sox could offer him a way better deal next year, but no matter what he's going to the highest bidder when he reaches free agency (and if it's us he stays and if it's not he walks). I don't see the uproar.....
