  1. Looks like the scouting report is to pitch around Gavin to get to Pierre.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 08:24 PM) Feels like we should have 3 or more runs. Add that to the 100 others we've wanted over the last 80 games or so.
  3. Anyone else feel like the Rockies are the NL equivalent to the Sox. Consistently inconsistent, always hanging around in the standings and has had one or two great runs in the last decade. Could be way off base here, just thinking aloud.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 04:02 PM) Very, very interesting time for Hawk to discuss Viciedo I was thinking the same thing
  5. QUOTE (elgonzo4sox @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 02:35 PM) Agree completely. But the starting lineup is determined by fans. Jeter's presence shows it's an absolute joke. I believe Alexei has the best WAR amongst AL shortstops yet is not even in the top 5 in voting
  6. QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) Is it just me or is anyone else getting real sick of Hawk in today's broadcast...and is anyone else noticing a fan saying "strike" every single time the ball crosses the plate against the Nationals? Just wondering. Hawk is Hawk. And yes, I can hear him
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 02:11 PM) Rated R Werthastar. Creative and Witty
  8. http://thegoldensombrero.com/wordpress/wp-...ayson-Werth.jpg For all you wrestling fans out there.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 26, 2011 -> 02:03 PM) He's laughably bad. Day after day and no change in the results. He could have blown this game wide open had he hit a bomb. Instead more of the same, Sox stranding runners. Doesn't it seem like we have an inordinate amount of close games? Just go to any website and look at this year........we have virtually no blow outs. We win a lot of close games and lose a bunch of close games.
  10. You can really hear the groans from the crowd @ 2 strikes with Dunn. And of course he doesn't disappoint.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 12:00 AM) Yep, lost in the drama of this game is the continued struggles of Pierre. I truly feel like his pink slip day is coming soon, and I would point to maybe after next weekend after the Cubs series?? As for the game, someone elsewhere said to not let losses bother you until this team is .500. Pretty good philosophy Pink slip isn't coming anytime soon
  12. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:48 PM) As we approach the half-way point of this season, and with the White Sox obviously still very much within striking distance of taking over the AL Central Division, I'm wondering how much longer it will be before the media really starts taking Guillen & Co. into task for the decision to continue on with Pierre not only at the helm of the line-up, but in the line-up at all. That sort of pressure must be forthcoming sooner rather than later. And when it does, it'll be interesting to see how both OG and KW manage that situation. Honest question here as I am an out of towner.......Is there any heat coming right now outside of this board?
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:24 PM) Todd Coffey's coming in. That's a huge b****!
  14. "Under the rules of the newly established BP Crosstown Cup, the two teams will continue to meet in a yearly six-game head-to-head series as they have since 1997. The team with the most wins in the yearly series will be formally awarded the rivalry’s namesake trophy. If the annual series is split 3-3, the BP Crosstown Cup will be awarded to the winner of the series’ last game." Next weeks series...........the stakes just got a whole lot bigger.
  15. Kudos to Morel......you know we have a lot of hitters unable to do that.
