  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 02:39 PM) I didn't realize Peavy was ready to pitch in real games. My gosh, he's definitely one of the great competitors. If he's pitching today, obviously he's ready to go by Opening Day as well? No matter how he does on the mound, he is trying to earn that money, unlike Greinke. What???? He's missing time now so his injury can completely heal and it doesn't affect his performance during the season or cause him to miss more time in the summer.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 12:04 PM) And Friday Night Lights-spectacular so far, about 7 episodes in. It doesn't start on NBC until April 15, but the DVD of season 5 comes out April 5.
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 11:38 AM) And not go to the grocery store and deal with the rude people who stop in front of you or stand right in the middle of the aisles? Those who don't watch where there going with their carts or let their kids run all over? I would so miss that. Nowhere is worse than CostCo. Especially when they have all the food samples available. People wait and fight for those things like they have never eaten before.
  4. If Brandon Roy is actually healthy, the West could be even more interesting.
  5. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 08:20 PM) DePaul still had fans? LOL, it was more of a joke as to how awful the program has become. Joining the Big East was the worst decision ever. But I did grow up near the Horizon and was in high school for the days of Q, Simmons, Williams, & McPherson so I used to hit up DePaul games all the time. If I remember right, if they scored 80 points and won, you would get a free slice at Suparossa. Pretty sweet deal for a high schooler and it actually used to happen.
  6. If this game was pre winning streak, I'd probably be pissed off and worried, but now its just one of those games. Still in good position and playing well. I could only follow online, but damn, 39-15 shot advantage and Turco only faced 7 shots in two periods. Oh well, on to Tampa, hopefully get at least one there, pretty good team this year.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 08:29 PM) I knew there was a reason for his play, he's been moonlighting on another team. So that two week stretch where he had like 20 points in 4 games wasn't him? That was fake North Texas McCamey? Now it all makes sense!
  8. 3-0 Florida after one. Marty Reasoner strikes back for not keeping him. Can't win em all I guess. Might be time to bring Turco in so you can save Corey for tommorrow?
  9. Check out this pic Illini fans. Now starting for North Texas: Warren Carter, Jack Ingram, Rich McBride, McCamey, & Jamar Smith.
  10. I wonder if OSU is gonna be able to beat Akron & Toledo w/o Tressel?
  11. @DanWetzel Two game suspension, $250,000 fine for Tressel #buckeyes
  12. From Rosenthal's Twitter, Zack Greinke fractured a rib playing basketball two weeks ago. Gonna miss the first 3 starts of the season.

    Australia

I know there's people on here that have lived there that would be more help but I was there two years ago. Flew into Cairns and drove up to Port Douglas, which is an awesome resort town with access to the Reef. Although if you are gonna live on the Reef for a few days, I don't know if you need to stay there. The Reef is amazing though, also some cool rain forests up there. I was in Sydney as well, an great big city, plenty to see there as well. I did my domestic flying via Virgin Blue and had no issues, everything was pretty easy. In fact, the domestic airline security is much more lax than it is here.
  14. How is Yahoo always the one first in on these infraction stories? Is it cause they aren't in the NCAA's pocket like ESPN or are they just as dirty as the people who run college football?
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) He's out of cash. I wonder if him leaving his 8-month pregnant (with twins!) wife for a 23 year old blonde intern has anything to do with that?
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 01:36 PM) Hypothetical question: Would the "Big Three" that worked out together all summer long have better results on a team together than the Heat Big Three: D Rose Kevin Love Russell Westbrook Two elite point guards on the same team??? Would that work out all that well?
  17. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 01:07 PM) Bum. I still have a hard time figuring him out though. Like I really don't know where he rates among the best in the NBA. The Wolves power forward is Beasley who doesn't give two s***s about rebounding. I mean I know he is a very good player, but is he top 10, 15, 20??? His numbers and streak are impressive, but I have a hard time rating a guy that high when his team is the 2nd worst in the league and is on pace for under 20 wins. It's one thing to put up numbers, but another to actually win games in the NBA. That being said, he's still only 22 so I can definitely see him become one of the top players in the league.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 12:47 PM) Gonzo Trib hinted in an article today that the Angels may be looking at Teahen. Nice, compared to Wells contract, Teahen would be chump change to them.
  19. Bummer, DePaul's tourney dreams are destroyed by UConn.
  20. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 09:21 AM) I don't see them making a coaching change this late into the season. It would be an unusual move, but you usually don't have such a capable replacement in the organization. It's not like they are miles away from competing, a coaching move could be the difference for them.
  21. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 08:54 AM) Spoelstra will not be the head coach next year Next year isn't the question. Will he be the head coach next month?
  22. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 08:41 AM) Think of a family of four. How much to go to a Sox game? $100-200? How much for the minor league Sox affiliate that the 10 yo's will still get excited to see, and maybe the big Sox fan parents can get into watching the up-and-comers? And if you live in the NW burbs, think of the gas money you save, and your kids only have to sit in a car for 10-20 minutes, as opposed to two hours.
  23. You mean Polish Las Vegas??? Kalahari is a huge resort and has all kinds of water parks, arcades, theme park stuff that I'm sure will keep the kids busy. http://www.kalahariresorts.com/wi/ Noah's Ark is the biggest waterpark there, it's right on the strip in town.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 07:10 AM) This really isn't a bad year for Indiana. Notre Dame is having their best year in forever, Purdue has been great, plus ISU is in the dance, and Valpo has a chance at it as well. Butler plays for a bid tommorrow and still has an outside chance for an at-large bid. And they kind of had a decent season last year too.
  25. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 05:09 PM) So who are people's early auto bid sleepers? Fairfield, Missouri State and Coastal Carolina were all top seeds that had a decent shot to pull an upset but lost in their conference tourneys. Heck even George Mason lost (though they'll get an at-large taking away a bubble spot). Who's left? Belmont
