  1. I resolve to stop losing to the Twins
  2. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 11:38 PM) I don't care what anyone else says, Summer Shandy is like f***ing candy to me. Like
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 08:48 PM) Still in jail, domestic abuse charges Just like Big Ben, those RedHawks are trouble!
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 31, 2010 -> 06:32 PM) He's not going to be without a job for long. I think he did a great job with Panthers, several playoff berths and a Super Bowl trip with Jake f***ing Delhomme. Take away this joke of a year and he went 76-60 with them.
  5. Illinois actually won a bowl game???? Time to party like its 1999!!! Hope that's not the last time LeShoure & Liguet play in Illini uniforms
  6. Early reports on Toews are that its not too serious, out two weeks or so
  7. QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 11:26 PM) How awesome would it be if the NFC West team manages to win, and the 6th seed wins. It be NFC West @ Bears 2nd round. I know they were different teams 2.5 months ago, but the Seahawks manhandled the Bears in Soldier Field
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 10:48 PM) Barring a shocker, Bears will be playing the winner of the New Orleans vs Philly playoff game. There is absolutely no way that New Orleans plays Philly in the 1st round.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) I wonder how the Bears will approach Sunday's game. The Giants are pretty much screwed if the Bears end up sitting some guys. Falcons play CAR & Saints play TB, both at home at noon. If either of those teams win, the Bears have nothing to gain with the late game. I know Lovie talks a lot of hate against the Packers, but I don't see them all giving 100%, which does screw both the Giants & the Buccs.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 10:24 PM) First round BYE b****es.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 01:33 PM) So I need to fly two weekends from now (e.g., playoff weekend). Does anyone know whether the Bears (if a 3 seed) would be playing on Saturday or Sunday? I want to know. If they play on Saturday, than I'd fly out for my meeting on Sunday. If they play on Sunday, than I'd fly out on Saturday. If I don't know, than I'm flying out Friday night. nevermind my previous post. Fly whenever you want, Bears are not playing that weekend!
  12. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 02:04 PM) If the Bears are #3 and Packers #6, then I'd imagine a Bears/Packers game would be on Sunday I could see that game taking NBC's Saturday night primetime slot
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 11:11 PM) In other news, Hossa and Stalberg are back and the Hawks have won 4 in a row. And Kaner is supposed to play in STL tonight
  14. Then I'd probably book my flight for Friday night. I doubt you find out when the Bears play until after the Rams/Seahawks game Sunday night. The NFL usually waits until all matchups are set until they decide on and announce who plays when.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 10:51 AM) You think the Falcons are going to lose to the Panthers at home? Yeah, that'd be absolutely nuts. I honestly don't think the Bears win in GB either, not with GB fighting for their playoff life.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 09:16 AM) The answer is that the rules for a 3 way tie change from just a 2-way tie. Here's a summary chart. That's right. I completely forgot that it wouldn't just be the Eagles & Bears.
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 04:58 AM) I know...I guess it doesn't really matter though, unless the Ram's somehow manage to upset the 5 seed. Otherwise, the team the 1 seed is not going to be much different than the team the 2 seed plays in the divisional round. True, but there is a big difference if the Eagles & Bears advance to the NFC Champ. game and the game is in Philly because they are the #1 seed despite the head-to-head loss. I have seen the same thing on several websites that the Bears need the Eagles to lose to gain the #1 seed. It doesn't make any sense as to why head-to-head matters for the #2 seed, but not the #1? That being said, none of this discussion really matters. The Falcons are not gonna lose to Carolina in the Georgia Dome.
  18. Impressive! I am fighting that battle now, but I doubt the wife ever gives in with a letter like that.
  19. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 25, 2010 -> 04:12 AM) I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt today in Houston. If I can't have a "White Christmas," I might as well have a warm one. I hear ya on that. I'm just outside of Palm Springs, CA right now. Wearing shorts and sandals in 70 degree weather may not be the X-mas I'm used to, but I'm not complaining.
  20. Random MLB stat of the day via Joe Posnaski's Twitter A Christmas baseball thought: Albert Pujols has averaged .331, 43 doubles, 41 homers, 119 runs, 123 RBIs his first 10 years. Here's the thing: Only nine players in baseball history have pulled off that Pujols average season even once in their careers. Pujols, Ruth, Greenberg, Trosky, Klein, Gehrig, Hornsby and the Rockies Helton and Walker
  21. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 06:56 PM) Not sure how much of an impact it was, but the guy who hit Adenhart had passed DUI's and was absolutely blitzed where IIRC, Stallworth was pretty much right at the legal limit. Not condoning what happened but they really were two entirely different situations to an extent. And he ran a red light crashing into a car killing 3 people, not just one.
  22. The Big Ten has added a 3rd division to the mix. They had Leaders & Legends, and will now add an Entrepreneurs division. Ohio State is the only present member.
  23. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 01:29 PM) Carolina's offense has been getting better and Pittsburgh has been iffy health-wise. 14.5 is a lot of points to cover. If I had to pick, I'd say that your thoughts are as good as any on this game. I concur as well. CAR+14.5, over 37 would be my move.
  24. If the suspensions stay, that means the bigger games they miss are @ Miami, & home vs. MSU, then Pryor's first game would be @ Nebraska. That being said, I'm sure the NCAA will reduce the suspensions to two games and they will just miss Akron & Toledo.
  25. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 12:09 PM) Are you talking about Richmond? If so, the reason is because he's a bad jump shooter. He was never a good shooter, and the main reason he racked up all the points in high school was the frenetic pace his team played and he'd get dunk after dunk. I saw Richmond play live in high school maybe 10 times, and don't think he made more than 3 or 4 three pointers total. I wasn't aware he wasn't a very good shooter. I guess I assumed someone ranked that high who is a G/F tweener would be able to hit the outside shot. He is definitely gonna have to work on that or his potential success in college will be in question, let alone NBA chances. Teams are gonna make him hit that shot so they don't get burned off the dribble or on a drive.
