  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) There aren't 2 Brandon Webb's, are there? Maybe there is one I don't know about? But if we are talking about the same one, do you really think someone would give him a 2 year deal for that much money? Especially the Nats who are waiting for 2012 til Strasburg comes back, with Storen & Zimmerman ready to lead the staff?
  2. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 06:58 PM) Lee: Texas (5/$110M) QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Lee: New York Yankees (5/$110M) I'm not gonna question his recent success or doubt that he will get that contract. But damn, thats a lot of money to pay a 32 year old with maybe 4 great seasons.
  3. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Webb: Nats (2/$16M) For a guy who has thrown 4 innings in the last 2 seasons?
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 10:11 PM) Chris Bosh had 1 rebound tonight. Already seen about 4 different tweets saying "Let's call them the Big Two & Bosh"
  5. Morin called up to make his NHL debut vs. his old team
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 12:38 PM) Who did that happen to? Olivo. Toronto declined his option after trading for him, making him a type B free agent.
  7. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 04:56 PM) 1. Google Maps 2. Starting address: New York 3. Destination address: China 4. Check out instruction no.30 Just realized how they have you kayak to Hawaii, drive across the island, then start kayaking again to the mainland. I'm sure that break is necessary.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 03:58 AM) Ty is all muscle, no endurance. No CT on the previews. You know he won't be on til near the end. I'm guessing you have to compete against him in the Gulag as a challenge or something and it will be disappointing. Finally caught up, watched the last 3 episodes last night. Man do I love that f***ing show. Yeah, for as cocky as Ty seems, he sure as hell b****ed out. At least pretend like you wanna keep fighting, even if your body is dying. I like how all of the Gulags are new & different, instead of just repeating the same ones at the end.
  9. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 5, 2010 -> 09:25 AM) anyone going to the NU-IL game at Wrigley? Wonder why they decided to go West-East instead of North-South like they used to with the Bears. I am still thinking about it, but the tickets are just so damn expensive, even at face value. I have been contemplating hitting up a rooftop. I might not be able to see one end zone, but for the same price as a ticket to the game I will have free food and booze. Either way, I am definitely gonna hit up the neighborhood for the game and check out whats going on.
  10. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 04:56 PM) 1. Google Maps 2. Starting address: New York 3. Destination address: China 4. Check out instruction no.30 Nice. Kayaking might take a bit longer than jet skiing, especially 2000 miles further.
  11. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 12:28 PM) i thought the hawks would go undefeated at home I gotcha. Now that the Bulls lost at home, whats next? Maybe a Wolves season ticket holder will trade tix?
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 06:23 PM) VD possible via internet? Wireless only.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 03:49 PM) MLBtraderumors is saying the Sox are trying to extend Danks now to a long-term contract. Great, so now we are going to have even less money going forward. I mean, as long as it's no more than $7-8M a year, I'll be content w/ it. Yeah, but who would you rather spend the money on? Its not like Danks is some s*** pitcher they are trying to hold onto.
  14. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) He doesn't. He is looking to cover his expenses by selling a percentage of any winnings he may make. So you stake his a percentage of what the entry fee would have been, to cover his expenses, and you would get that percentage of any winnings he might make. Thanks. When I said % of entry, I meant like % of what his entry pays out, if anything. I didn't end up buying in, but I know some other people did. He struggled and didnt win anything, but he still might have ended up ahead with the people buying in covering his expenses. Thats why he did it.
  15. QUOTE (since56 @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 05:11 PM) If they are so good then how come one playoff year in the last five? Because the Twins are unbeatable!
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 3, 2010 -> 11:47 AM) Wow. Too bad nobody can confirm it because that is a fine worthy or suspension worthy comment. Meh. I doubt that was even the worst thing a player has trash talked this season. Players just usually don't come out and tell the world what is said on the court.
  17. ‎1. Google Maps 2. Starting address: Japan 3. Destination address: China 4. Check out instruction no.43
  18. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 02:16 PM) He is perfect for Ozzie ball. Switch hitting, 2 positions. If we signed him we could let both Tank, Flowers and VMart start every game for the first 2 months, with VMart eventually sliding to whichever position fails more! You forgot about Kotsay
  19. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 02:06 PM) He played a ton of catcher this season. 127 games played, 110 appearances as a C. I would have to agree with you that yes, he is still a catcher.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 01:10 PM) Looks like Jim Hendry is after Nick Johnson to play 1B for the Cubs. Thats about the caliber of GM I would expect to sign this guy to start. If its Hendry, I guarantee its a minimum 3-year deal.
  21. He'd be a perfect fit for the rotating DH idea
  22. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 3, 2010 -> 10:41 AM) Former Reds and Tigers manager Sparky Anderson is in hospice care due to complications resulting from dementia. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/da...-hospice-care/1 Passed away at age 76. RIP Sparky
  23. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 10:05 AM) i hope not, cause i found a nice gentleman to trade me his bulls season tickets for my hawks ones Why not just buy the Bulls season tix in the first place instead of the Hawks tix?
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 4, 2010 -> 09:48 AM) I would still be willing to bet that the Hawks make it further in the playoffs than the Bulls. Totally. Plus, Bulls fans have already admitted that they have no chance to win a title this year due to the competition. Same can't be said about the Hawks, no matter how off they look right now.
