QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 09:31 AM) It is out of the realm of possibility that the wild card comes from our division. Fixed.

QUOTE (Rooftop Shots @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 08:06 AM) Could someone help me out? I'm looking for some realistic info on Hudson? What should I mostly watch for when he pitches. What are his main pitches. How is his command? Does he have good movement on his fastball. What is his out pitch? Changeup, Hard slider, late breaking curve/ cutter? Is he a good "first Strike" pitcher. How is he on strike out / walk ratio? Can he throw any one of his pitches in any count. I hear a lot of hype on this guy not only from Chicago, but other places as well (MLB network etc) Lastly, are the expectations REAL on this guy, or a possible "wanna be hopeful". Remember, we once had Feilx Diaz who wa s 10-1 with a 1.85 ERA. Came up, gave up 10 runs to the Yankees, and now he's pitching in Japan. That hype ended in a heartbeat! I know it's a lot of questions, but if he is going to fill the rotaion for maybe the rest of the year, I just want to know what to mainly look for, even if it takes him a little time to get acclaimated to his new career dream, and him getting his head settled in when it comes time to filling some Really Big Shoes with the Peavy loss. Thanks! Is this greg???? Felix Diaz beat the Cubs in one of his first starts, so easy on him. He never faced the Yanks either.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 08:51 AM) Adding Lebron would have...before the Miami trio existed. If you cloned Lebron and added him to the Bulls right now, I'd still pick Miami. Miami would be the favorite, yes, but I still think the Bulls would have a chance to beat them in a series and win a title.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 08:41 AM) Only if every free agent acts as classless as leBron did as he left. Not returning calls, no common courtesy to call an owner to tell them you are going somewhere else and embarrassing an entire city on national TV with a stupid decision show. I totally agree that LeBron was absolutely classless, but I just don't think the owner of an NBA franchise should stoop down to the same level and write a letter like that. I did like seeing someone in the NBA call Bron out, but during his tenure in Cleveland, Gilbert definitely helped James build up his ego with letting him get away with stuff because of who he was.

Bruce Chen is still in the majors???? Good for him I guess.

Soooooo.......when is Ilya Kovalchuk having his one hour "Decision" special on TSN Canada????? -
Dan Gilbert: The intensity and smack talking definitely made me laugh, and I completely understand where you are coming from, although you did enable some of it. But I do have one question though. How do you expect to win a title when you just showed every free agent in the NBA that you'll turn on them in a second if they leave Cleveland?? I'm sure they will be on the next flight to Cleveland to join an owner like that.

QUOTE (balfanman @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 08:09 AM) Why would that be embarassing? Oh no!!! He is gonna shut down the Mariners powerful lineup, that hasn't happened at all this year! LOL, if the lineup wasn't so damn embarassing then maybe they wouldnt have to trade Lee in the first place.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 08:09 AM) By the way, for Bulls fans, it's probably worth pointing out that JR's rule for going into the luxury tax is that he would only do so for a team that he thought could win a title. This team can't win a title. They can't win a title if they add another $15 million shooting guard. I don't know if they could win a title if they added Kobe straight up to this roster. In other words...the Bulls are now sitting there with Boozer on a huge contract, Deng on a huge contract, Noah and Rose bordering on extensions, no SG, and they may well not add on anything major since doing so might push them over the tax level when Noah is extended. I agree with all your points about the luxury tax, but if adding Lebron makes the team a title contender, then adding Kobe would undoubtedly make them a contender.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 07:27 AM) I'd bet my paycheck right now that the Twins will get Ted Lilly from the Cubs. Cliff Lee will go to the Yanks. That doesn't scare me one bit.

QUOTE (spiderman @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 06:56 AM) Let's just take 2 of 3 (or even sweep KC), and we'll pick up ground on somebody hopefully. Exactly. We have no idea who will have a better record in September, DET or MIN. Just win the games you can now, hope they beat up on each other and see how it plays out.

Buster Olney's Twitter this morning: It sounds like the talks are getting very serious, I wouldn't be surprised to see him moved by the start of the second half next Thursday. Lee actually pitches vs. the Yankees tonight.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 04:17 PM) Jay z makes money, dude probably realizes it was a good investment. Jay Z is the Warren Buffet of our times. Isn't Warren Buffet still alive and making way way more money than Jay-Z?

Good luck to all in surviving the next 4 hours or so, especially you Steve. Here's my final guess: 50% Cleveland 25% Chicago 15% New York 10% Miami

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:37 PM) Milwaukee has been reeling lately. Wonder if talks regarding Fielder have increased. Its the 5th inning of game 4, and they have been outscored 33-5 so far by the Giants in this series.

There you go Danksy, dont stop get it get it

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:26 PM) Chicago must have really bombed their presentation if Chicago isn't in his top 3. I think he'll do that tonight, narrow it down to three teams and pick from there. I doubt it had anything to do with their presentation. Its pretty obvious what the Bulls have to offer, and if winning isn't his top priority, then there was nothing the Bulls were gonna present that would change his mind.

As soon as Cowley mentions the no-hitter...poof!
