  1. Thanks for posting that, great article. It would be amazing if he pitched well in the minors after only 13 months. But to dominate in the big leagues in such a short time period is something else.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 24, 2010 -> 09:40 PM) Alright, I'm thinking about buying tickets to one of the first 2 games. Anyone got any suggestions for where to sit in the 300 level? Anyone sit in 303 or 321? I just don't want to spend a ton and have crappy seats. I think those sections should be fine. My tickets are in 314, which is a similar location, and I think have a great view of the ice. When there's skirmishs in front of the net on the other side, it might be a little tough to find the puck, but overall I have no complaints whatsoever. I found this cool interactive seating chart on the UC website: http://www.unitedcenter.com/unitedcenter/h...atingviewer.asp
  3. Come on JFP, if you are gonna talk s*** that its a must-win series, then step up and shut these jokers down!
  4. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 24, 2010 -> 08:41 PM) Richards touches the trophy. Toews did not. We'll see who was right at the end. Two years ago Crosby didn't touch it and lost, last year he touched it and won. Considering the Flyers needed a shootout to make the playoffs, were down 3 games to 0 and in overtime in game 4, then were down 3-0 in game 7, I don't think bad luck is gonna keep them from winning. Facing the best team in the NHL is whats gonna keep them from winning the Cup. Thank god Monday is a night game. I planned an anniversary trip with the wife to NOLA for Memorial Day weekend, not even thinking about the possibility of the Finals being then. Barring another Katrina, I should be home with time to spare to go to game 2.
  5. Not sure which thread this should go in, but Jose Lima, 37, dies from a heart attack. (from ESPN's bottom line)
  6. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 23, 2010 -> 11:35 AM) Kotsay's 8 for his last 19 with a HR and 5 BB Jones is 8 for his last 47 with a HR and 6 BB (12 K) It's certainly not his worst logic. Yeah, but its Mark f***ing Kotsay......DHing.......hitting 5th....we are supposed to be the AL team
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 22, 2010 -> 10:12 AM) What a great f***ing game last night... it was nuts in the 300 level. Yeah it was
  8. Oswalt does have a full no-trade clause, so I wonder if he would want to go to Washington. Its probably too far away from the love of his life, his tractor in Mississippi
  9. No Hawks game this afternoon, so people are actually gonna be watching this game. Hope the pressure doesn't get to them.
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ May 21, 2010 -> 01:40 PM) Over/under on hits for us this series? 20? I'll take the under, 6 today, 10 saturday, 3 sunday
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 21, 2010 -> 12:07 PM) Mark Buehrle has lost his last 5. Mark hasn't been very good, but we have scored a total of 12 runs in his last 6 starts.
  12. QUOTE (WCSox @ May 21, 2010 -> 10:13 AM) Demoting Beckham to the minors may shatter his confidence more than keeping him in the bigs. At the very least, keeping him in Chicago is a vote of confidence in his ability to rebound. That said, I'm only in favor of this because (1) there's nobody available in-house to replace him and (2) the organization's priority will likely change from winning to development in about a month. This is a big issue with sending him down, cause I'm sure Ozzie would just throw Vizquel out there everyday if Beckham was gone.
  13. Gameday!!!!! Let's try to end the status quo of coming home to the UC, playing flat, and letting the opponent excute their gameplan to a T. Make the team's next flight to California sometime next winter. Anybody watch the Habs game last night? The anthem experience and everything at UC is great, but man, the atmosphere throughout the whole game up there is something else.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ May 20, 2010 -> 02:54 PM) What's with the delay in the Cubs game? Gameday thought Soto substituted into the 8 spot, when he was actually in the 9 spot, so I think it was all confused by the pinch hitter coming in with Soto on deck.
  15. Our old friend Jose in a jam right now, top of the ninth up 5-4, runners on the corners, no out. Strikes out the Wonder Kid & Ramirez, gets Soto to pop out. 2nd save on the year for Contreras.
  16. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 20, 2010 -> 09:38 AM) Actually, the last five (I believe that is the number) times the White Sox had a top 10 pick in the draft, they struck gold. They have a good track record of drafting in the top 10. The last 5 times they had a top 10 pick were 1987, 88, 89, 90, & 2008, so I don't know how relevant draft success over 20 years ago is when talking about today.
  17. Due to the reputation Landis has, no one is going to believe him about Armstrong, but hopefully one of these days the truth about Lance and his cheating will come out.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2010 -> 08:59 AM) The Tigers are. Unfortunately, Curtis Granderson for 3 years >>>>>>> AJP for 3 months
  19. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 20, 2010 -> 08:39 AM) their starters are ridiculous for sure. that team is young, talented and freaking good (remind me the blackhawks without the payroll issues)... I wouldn't say they are without payroll issues. Carl Crawford and Carlos Pena are definitely not coming back next year because they can't afford them. Once some of the other guys get older, they are gonna have to make some tough $$$$ decisions too.
