  1. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 08:15 AM) Right, but almost all of New England hates them, a third of the NY metro area hates them and a good portion of the rest of the country hates them. Any list that doesn't have them and the Red Sox at 1-2 (or 2-1) is a flawed list IMO. Yeah, but 2/3 of the NY metro area loves them, and that alone is bigger than any other team's local fan base. Add in all the random people across the country that like them because they are the Yankees, and I think the hatred gets somewhat cancelled out.
  2. If they never faced the White Sox, they'd have an even higher winning %. Good job boys!
  3. I think the Penguins might be the favorites to win it all now. Their road is much easier of course. The Western team they play in the finals might be better, but I think the top 4 in the West are gonna beat the crap out of each other and wear each other out, which gives Pitt a huge advantage. They obviously have been there before, and they won it last year as a 4 seed as well.
  4. The Rays may be the best team in baseball and are on pace to win 123 games, but their fans still don't give a s***. I know Oakland is not a popular team to see, but crowds of 10,825 & 10,691 for the two-game series are pretty awful.
  5. QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ Apr 29, 2010 -> 07:17 AM) I know the lineup is heavy RH in the upper half but something needs to be changed. I don't think you can just base your lineup on righty/lefty. Go with something that changes things up, yet still makes sense. I agree, but good luck trying to convince Ozzie of that.
  6. MLB Network? Great, now the whole country gets to see us suck today!!! Come on Sox, Go, Fight, Win, please!
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 09:42 PM) This dude should be the idol of all Cubs fans http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=7695107 What a toss! Did Henry Rowengartner move to Baltimore???
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) Wow Atlanta with a huge choke tonight blowing a solid late and what once was a 2-0 Atlanta series lead is now 3-2 Milwaukee. And it made me a little happy to see Jamal Crawford play a huge role in Atlanta losing tonight. I only watched the last 90 seconds or so, but I saw Crawford put up at least 4 horrible shots. Looked familiar from his Chicago days. Atlanta was supposed to have a chance to upset one of the top 3, now they can't beat Bogut-less Milwaukee. Fear the Deer!!!!
  9. Twins lost!!!!! Won't lose any ground today!
  10. Since the topic of the week is ex-White Sox, here's a little comparison, and death is not an option. Randy Williams (CHW) - 4.66 ERA, 2.59 WHIP (Murphy & Smoak are his runners) Boone Logan (NYY) - 3.86 ERA, 2.14 WHIP
  11. Does that billboard in right really say "theDump.com"????? ha
  12. I hate you Randy Williams, but great job there vs Hamilton
  13. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) If you go to the 30 for 30 site to watch the other Escobar's preview, they show the atmosphere of Colombian soccer games with the drug lords in attendance. There was one scene where Colombian police/military were swinging down on ropes from the roof of the stadium. Scary s***. Its amazing how tame American sports fans are compared to the rest of the world. We may have our share of dumb drunken assholes, but thats nothing compared to what goes on at soccer games across the world.
  14. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 09:02 PM) Peavy down to 7.53ERA Wait for the umpires call...
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) Yes, against a lefty and batting for Pierre, I'll take my chances with him. With the way Beckham has been hitting this year, its a lose-lose, but can't talk bad about Gordo.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 08:54 PM) You've got to be kidding me. Hey Ozzie, wake the f*** up! You have Jones and Beckham on the bench. I can't wait for him to be fired, and Pierre to get DFA'd with him. Sweet, Beckham & his .205 average can come pinch hit!
  17. Scotty Pods woulda beat that DP ball out
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2010 -> 08:49 PM) Hernandez Lee Bedard Rowland-Smith Fister Lee is better than anyone on our staff. Talk to me about Bedard when he actually starts pitching and stays healthy. I won't argue about the top 2 though.
