  1. Bump Seems like one of the least hyped Olympics of recent memory, barely realized it has started
  2. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Feb 9, 2018 -> 09:30 AM) We're probably better off just rooting for the losses to start piling up at this point for better lottery odds and hoping the ping pong balls fall their way. #AllInForDahlin
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 9, 2018 -> 08:49 AM) And the Hawks seem to be the least patient team in town. The thing about the Hawks now is they are so worried about image and presentation under McDonough, that it's hard to simply fire Q on the spot when the team struggles. It has to all be planned out to a T to keep all the media coverage positive (not that the Chicago media cares enough to be critical of the Hawks).
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 8, 2018 -> 02:49 PM) I think it had something to do with that 2006 series when the Sox destroyed them before the break. I think Larussa and Duncan accused the Sox of stealing signals or something and Hawk said something That was one of my favorite series ever. From the 20 run explosion to start, and it ended with Anthony Reyes throwing a perfect game, except for one pitch to Thome and took the L.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 8, 2018 -> 08:44 AM) Wow, really? Yeah, he can go the conservative route or say f*** it and go full baller mode like a lot of players do. I know you like Tesla, but I wasn't trying to insinuate anything negative about you.
  6. Does that make the Cavs better or worse on the court this season? (Honestly don't know)
  7. Wow, Marcus Kruger placed on waivers. Him and Darling have not enjoyed Carolina I guess.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 08:31 PM) At 1% interest, he’d make $30k on $3m annually. If he invested well, he’d make $200k plus on $3m annually. The wonders of compounded interest would make him a fairly wealthy man, if he was conservative. Or he can just fill up garages after garage with Teslas!
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 04:23 PM) It's like, a lot easier to say "Alexa turn on WGN Radio 720 on tunein" than "Alexa turn on...WBRBQ 106.83 fm" It's even easier to say "Alexa...fart" The joys of life with toddlers. And yes, she farts.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 07:08 PM) I should probably quit getting so worked up over my perceived slights of Avi. Even if he loses he gets $5.85 mill this year. If he can't live off one year's salary the rest of his life (even after taxes and agent fees) he's screwing up somewhere. He's a rich, rich man for life. After taxes, agent, and union fees, he'll be lucky to clear $3 million, that's being generous. At his age of 27, $100k a year would only take him to age 57. Long time sportswriters make more than that yearly. He's also from a country in maybe the worst financial disasters in the world, so he probably has to help some people out, and right fully so. If he can live off that for the rest of his life, it's amazing.
  11. QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 02:47 PM) It’s now a 2 year “stretch” for Toews. I was just trying to be optimistic, ha. That will be an ugly contract if this is the Toews of the future.
  12. So this can't be a coincidence. I just saw flyer at my local park district for a mother son superhero dance this Friday. Greg, call up Glenn Beck. He needs to film a live remote there to show the PC Police that they may take away our lives, but they'll never take our FREEDOM!
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 09:00 AM) This year is a wasted year. I wish they would sell at the break and mini-rebuild. They have put together a collection of younger talent, some showing signs of promise, some not so much. I think the last 14 goals had been scored by a youngster until Kane at the end of the game. If anyone is to blame for this year it's more of the guys with the big contracts, who almost all have no-trade clauses. Hoping it's just a bad stretch for #19 and not that he's breaking down already from all the hockey he played, playoffs and international included.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 09:15 AM) With the worst ratings in baseball, the problem is more likely that other radio stations don't care about the White Sox. Who are the White Sox???
  15. At what point is it fair to change from playoff push to draft pick watch? Embrace the rebuild greg!!!
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 6, 2018 -> 06:51 PM) McDaniels backed out, will remain in New England He better hope they give him the Pats job when Belichick leaves cause that's his only head coach chance now. He never signed a contract, but several assistants did, so they will likely stay for the new head coach.
  17. What a weird situation, even if he had done those things, who cares, it's the Super Bowl, not a college game where you need to teach a kid a lesson. The way Foles was throwing it may not have mattered, but they were putting special teamers out there instead of Butler, crazy. I bet he said something personal to Belichik who already doesn't seem to love him anyway.
  18. 1b: Adrian Gonzalez 2b: Asdrubal Cabrera 3b: Todd Frazier ss: Jose Reyes The Mets are locks to win the 2012 World Series!
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 5, 2018 -> 09:00 AM) I was really glad Pederson coached that so aggressively and won. He needed every one of those extra points other coaches would have lost for the sake of "Staying in the game". Against a team like the patriots you have to maximize your scoring drives and try to do whatever possible to get ahead of their last drive. So much of the armchair coaching on important plays is result plays. Pass falls incomplete? "Shoulda run"! Run stopped short. "Shoulda passed!". But nothing more than "take the points!" and field position homers scream if a sound decision to go for it ends up not coming through. Had he called that aggressively and lost each one, woulda been real bad for a while. There's been multiple articles the past two weeks about how the Eagles use analytics and win expectancy in their 4th won decision and are far more aggressive than most teams who are too scared of the Monday Morning QB. Anytime they get to midfield, as early as 2nd down, someone will call up from the booth and say, 4th and 4 or less, go for it, 5-8 yards, your call, anything higher then punt. Besides the win expectancy, it helps your play calling so much. If you know you are going for it on 4th down, you can call so many different plays 3rd down and keep the defense on their feet. Given how valuable wins are in the NFL, it's still crazy that so few teams do that and end up leaving potential wins on the field.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 4, 2018 -> 11:12 PM) Butler was pretty mad I can imagine, that's quite the entrance into free agency. Belichik is so quick to cut ties with a player but it just seems weird to make a point during the Super Bowl. I saw that Butler played almost 98% of the snaps all season, and suddenly he's not any good? Even when his replacements are getting torched? Wonder what the true backstory is.
  21. So you bench arguably your top cornerback as a coach's decision, then proceed to give up 41 points and lose. Belichik will have to answer that one in the future. What a game though.
  22. 20-17 Pats I hope I win the tickets from SoxObama!
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 3, 2018 -> 04:57 PM) Brian Urlacher is on his way to the NFL Hall of Fame. I was worried he would have to wait a year because he was on the same ballot as Lewis, but that's great to hear. Well deserved, hell of a player.
