  1. Raheem Moore better hope Peyton leads them to victory, because that was one of the worst plays I have ever seen a safety make. What a game.
  2. QUOTE (Carlo Paz @ Jan 12, 2013 -> 05:36 PM) One of the responses to the article claims that the ring belonged to (the late) Moose Skowren and that it's part of his estate sale. Makes sense to me. Yeah, it's gotta be his. All the descriptions fit him, he played in multiple WS with the Yankees. Reindsorf got rings for nearly everyone associated with the White Sox in 2005, which is awesome. I know a guy that worked in sales then that got one.
  3. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 12, 2013 -> 02:14 PM) Also, burn in hell Steve Stricker! BOOOOOOOOOOO
  4. Finally this super boring MINN-IU undercard is over, time for the exciting high scoring main event of ILL-WI.
  5. Football, Football, Football, Football. Maybe a little UI @ WI hoops, but Football, Football!
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 02:31 PM) Okay...only thing you are proving is that his defense didn't work in the collegiate game (where he didn't get enough time to coach up players, etc). How can you argue his success in the program (20+ years of it). Guy was one of the best DC's in the game. He WAS one of the best. The game has changed offensively since his Tampa days, and at his age there is no proof he can adapt his defense. His major issue at USC was that his team struggled vs. the modern spread offenses depsite having so much talent. With RG3 in his own division running the read option, etc., what worked 10 years ago isn't guaranteed to work today.
  7. The Cowboys replaced Rob Ryan with Monte Kiffin? Did they not watch a single USC game this year?
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 12:28 PM) It's probably going to be a s***ty flip phone from like 1998 too Hopefully it will be a giant Zack Morris type phone, that would be awesome.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 12:24 PM) This thread is awesome, for me its post post, and then a bunch of ignored ones followed by frustrated responses. That's how the "Non Roster Invites" thread is for me.
  10. QUOTE (floridafan @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 08:22 PM) How many homers do they need to put up for you to feel that you are happy with your 3rd baseman? It is odd how 2B has become a power position, but I still expect power out of 3rd. Is 20HR a substantive enough figure, with a BA of around .300? If you get 20 HR with a .300 average from your 3B, that's one of the top 5-7 3b in all of baseball.
  11. Remember when Jeff Gray let go & the Twins signed him, and Soxtalk wanted to fire KW immediately? That was funny. Ramon Troncosco could be helpful in the middle of the bullpen, he was OK for LA.
  12. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 03:09 PM) Alex Anzalone decommits from Notre Dame for Florida The word "commit" means nothing in college football until signing day.
  13. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 12:39 PM) That just isnt true. Ive done the math with making tacos. If you buy 1) lean ground beef, 2) flour tortilla and 3) cheese. The price is at minimum 2 dollars per serving, which is not break even with fast food as you also have to include opportunity costs, time, etc. Now when you buy food there is going to be some spoilage, where as if you go to Taco Bell, you dont lose anything to spoilage. I bought some apples yesterday at Jewel, 4 apples, $4. Milk is $3. Like I said, show me some actual numbers. Not just "I went to the store one time and bought a cart of food for under $25." I dont even care about this stupid argument. We all make our choices. If I die early it wont be because I ate fast food or ate healthy, worked out didnt work out, it will be due to taking in excess of $100,000 worth of drugs. I should have hung out with you back in my younger days.
  14. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 12:19 PM) I realize that winning was a long shot, but you still need to call a good play for the situation, and BK has failed to do that many times. I just think he's reached his ceiling at ND and if they want to be able to beat SEC teams in bowl/playoff games, it's going to take somebody else. It's funny that he was known for his offense everywhere else.
  15. Baseball is stepping into the forefront of drug testing? Did Bud Selig get kidnapped?
  16. There's also that whole scissor lift thing on Kelly's resume. Just sayin'
  17. QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 10:26 AM) Ask my arse, ya weirdo! I'll come to your beautiful country and share a pint with you any day my friend!
  18. Anybody see Jamaal Franklin's off the backboard dunk last night?
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 10, 2013 -> 10:20 AM) You can play McLaurin with Egwu and in fact they have a lot this year. IMO, that's when this team is at it's best. Problem is you lose depth by starting them together. Either way, Griffey playing next to either makes both look worse than they are. I was a Griffey supporter earlier in the year, but that's when he was hitting his threes. Up to the Georgia Tech game, he was 17-30 (.567) behind the arc. Since then he has gone 7-30 (.233), and that includes a 4-7 against Mizzou. If he can't figure out his long range jump shot, then I agree he provides you with little in the lineup.
  20. Wow, I don't realize that Silver Linings Playbook was so highly acclaimed. It's amusing that they announce the nominees at 5 AM local time in LA.
  21. Meh. I'd rather live shorter as an American than longer on the other side of the world. USA!
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 9, 2013 -> 02:26 PM) The Blackhawks' opener is against the defending champ Kings on the afternoon of Jan. 19. In LA I assume?
  23. He absolutely should be, but I wouldn't put it past the clowns that vote on it to make him wait a year.
  24. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jan 9, 2013 -> 01:11 PM) that's simply a pathetic travesty. I don't know why I get so worked up about the HOF, condsidering how dumb & arrogant the writers are about the process. The fact that some refuse to vote for Ripken, Gwynn, Ryan etc., because of the whole "first ballot" thing shows what a joke the voters are.
  25. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jan 8, 2013 -> 02:14 PM) I don't think he gets there. Highly unlikely he hits 34 this year and I just have a feeling that this is his last summer in a Sox uniform. That's what I was thinking too, I voted no.
