  1. DAL-WAS got moved to 7:30 with the NFC East up for grabs GB-MIN got moved to 3:25, at the same time as STL-SEA and ARI-SF, so all 3 of those teams are potentially playing for a first round bye Bears-Lions is at noon, so Bears win and they sit in the locker room and watch GB-MIN with their season on the line to potentially get crushed @ SF or SEA.
  2. QUOTE (soxfan420 @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 09:26 PM) Hosted by paco Martin? or Alexei Ramirez?
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) It's either that or Green Bay. First round exit either way. I'd rather play Green Bay personally, but unless San Fran has a miraculous comeback in them tonight, the Bears' only potential playoff opponents are San Fran & Seattle. Yahoo has this snazzy playoff scenario generator to see potential playoff matchups.
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 09:15 PM) Seattle outscored their opponents 136-23 in the last 10 quarters of play. Before SF scored, they were on a 100-0 run at home, going back to the 1st quarter of the Jets game. Too bad for them, they need the Cards to win in SF next week to get a home playoff game.
  5. Assuming SEA holds on to this lead, the Packers can clinch the #2 seed with a win next Sunday. That happens and the Bears beat Detroit, Bears clinch the #6 seed, which most likely means they go back to San Fran in the Wild Card round. Uh oh.
  6. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 07:44 PM) You are correct in that there is no Sunday night game in Week 17. Teams complained about the potential Sunday night/Saturday afternoon turnaround for a playoff game. There is a Sunday night game, they just wait til Monday to announce it to ensure maximum playoff implications. 100% guarantee it will be Cowboys/Redskins, since the winner gets the NFC East.
  7. QUOTE (gatnom @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 05:03 PM) Griffey did what Griffey does. Shot well from behind the arc and did nothing else particularly well. Richardson was awful. Exactly. I understand his defensive issues, but let's not act like he contributed nothing. 4-7 from behind the arc, 14 points, that's helpful. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 07:54 PM) Bertrand took over for a few minutes as well. Paul and DJ had bad nights, and the team overall didn't shoot very well. I'm okay with this loss, we didn't bring our A-game and we still kept it close. I think it bodes well for BIG play for us. They didn't shoot well and got destroyed in the paint by a bigger team, yet had a chance to tie with 90 seconds left. Can't complain.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) It does matter, if the cowboys are 10-6 and bears are 9-7 then the tie breaker doesn't matter With Minnesota's win, the Bears can't make it in at 9-7. They have to win out now.
  9. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 02:48 PM) What the boys do doesn't matter because the Bears hold the tie breaker....The Vikings winning could spell the end of Bears playoff chances. If the Pack decide to sit Rodgers I think Minnesota wins again next week and get the last WC spot I think it does matter, because the Cowboys own tiebreakers for the NFC East title, so then the Bears would lose the tiebreaker to WSH or NYG.
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 12:03 PM) Griffey was dreadful. Is there a site that tracks cbb +/-? Here ya go. Tell me again about how bad Griffey was. Abrams: +2 Griffey: 0 Langford: 0 McLaurin: -1 Henry: -4 Paul: -5 DJ: -11 Bertrand: -12 Egwu: -13
  11. Phil Pressey with the most impressive 3-19 performance you will ever see. That was a fun game to watch, Illinois wasn't gonna win them all, DJ & BP3 went 3-17 from behind the arc, it happens. Just be ready to play at the UC next weekend, Auburn just lost home to Winthrop so that needs to be an easy W. And back off all you Tyler Griffey haters.
  12. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 09:38 AM) Thomas, Konerko, Baines, and Hawk I will always think of Carlton Fisk as a Red Sawx. And Buehrle? Let's just say that I am glad he no longer wears a White Sox uniform. Why's that? Hate who you want, but I've never seen a fan dislike Mark, so just curious.
  13. QUOTE (Lillian @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 05:40 PM) I was thinking maybe he could play LF. I know that he's a gold glove first baseman, but have no idea if he could play LF. How about 3B?
  14. QUOTE (Lillian @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 05:00 PM) Has anyone talked about acquiring Adam LaRoche? http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/nation...m-adam-laroche/ To fill that huge hole the Sox have at 1b-DH?
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 04:52 PM) JIM BOWDEN ‏@JimBowdenESPNxm Pirates and Red Sox have agreed to trade with Hanrahan, Pimental and Sands all involved waiting on rest of deal I'm always amazed by how mch teams pay for "proven" closers. Ex-Sox Jason Grilli is your new closer in Pittsburgh.
  16. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) George Ofman ‏@georgeofman Here are Kubel's numbers at the cell. 133 AB,.270, 14HR, 41RBI. Triple the ABs and see what you get. https://twitter.com/georgeofman Because he will be facing Sox pitching if the Sox trade for him, right?
  17. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 11:26 PM) Ryan Flaherty...? For Gavin Floyd? That would be a salary dump more than anything else.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 08:39 AM) I was hoping it would get yelled at the end of the proposal scene. I was also hoping there would be another hint of the "mother" at the end of the episode... Either a glimpse of the yellow umbrella, or Ted finally meeting her, or something. PATRICE!!!! I just read that they signed on for a 9th season with some last minute convincing of Jason Segal. WTF? I thought it was finally gonna end this year. The last few episodes have been better, but I don't know if I want to sit through another full season.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 08:40 PM) Challenge finale! Anybody but Frank! Well that sucked...
  20. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 05:38 PM) Was being sarcastic back, but yeah, I agree As was I, but yeah, I stand by what I said.
  21. QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 04:32 PM) When did the Kane County Cougars become a Cubs affiliate? When I worked there it was the Marlins and then it went to the A's. Like just a few months ago, I think after this season it became official.
  22. QUOTE (Carter224 @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 03:26 PM) Anyone else not getting this I think it's like six degrees of Kevin Bacon, but with the NFL.
  23. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Dec 21, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) I thought the end of the world was real for a second this morning...Saw a huge flash of light this morning at 3am that is still unexplained. No noise, just an explosion of light. Lysergic acid diethylamide is a hell of a drug.
