  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 12:51 PM) Michael Bush's season es finito. Until Bush came around, I assumed that Forte's short-yardage troubles were mostly due to the offensive line. Then I realized it's just Forte that sucks at getting that one yard.
  2. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 09:41 PM) I think that is part of the Sox attendance problem. They just don't have that one player that draws people to a stadium. Sale might be close to that, but the Big Hurt was probably the last player the Sox had that brought in the casual fan. I don't think he had that much of an effect, and the numbers don't show it either. He arrived right when the new park opened, then the 93 & 94 Sox were really good teams, so that's why attendance was high. Then the strike happened and attendance dropped 30%, Big Hurt or no Big Hurt. I don't think a single player has that much of an effect on baseball attendance, other than the occasional stud pitcher or HR freak like Bonds.
  3. QUOTE (YASNY @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 01:49 AM) Name me one pitcher that you can abolutely guarantee will pitch 190 innings in 2013. You can't, therefore you have no point. Stephen Strasburg
  4. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 05:07 PM) These guys aren't the 85 Bears, they need to play with an edge. Derrick Rose isn't chatting with Lebron during a game or helping him up when he falls. Whats so bad about giving Rodgers a pop? Nothing dirty just a hard hit to the midsection like they give Cutler? Instead they wrap him up and gingerly place him on the ground, then kiss him on the cheek and bring him some warm cocoa. It's awful DITKA! BEARS!!!! SAUSAGE!!!!
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 12, 2012 -> 12:48 PM) Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc According to a source, #Blackhawks winger Marian Hossa has been medically cleared by team following recovery from concussion. So I just read that injured players get paid during the lockout, so up until they medically cleared him, Hossa was getting paid. Suddenly the checks stopped. Whammy.
  6. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 11:35 AM) I think it was a great move by NYM to trade him. I agree, although it makes the David Wright extension seem like an even worse decision.
  7. QUOTE (Sox1 @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 10:44 AM) Cutler is worthless! Urlacher needs to shut his mouth about the fans If Urlacher doesn't want to be boo, he can take his overrated ass to a team like the Jaguars I loved the comment "The only team in our division to get booed at home is us". Um, just last week, the Bears were in Minnesota and the fans kept booing the Vikings offense, even with the team leading the entire game. Shut up Urlacher.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 09:54 AM) I wish the Bears would miss the playoffs, but finishing against the Cardinals and Lions sure improves their odds. If they win those two games, Minnesota loses @ Houston or vs. GB, and the Giants lose @ Baltimore or vs. Philly, the Bears are in.
  9. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 08:53 AM) How Mason Crosby still has a job is crazy. A guy at the game said that he was one of the highest paid kickers in the league. He's basically as accurate as a college kicker at this point.
  10. Dayan Viciedo. Right now he is worthless against RHP.
  11. Need the Jets to keep Chris Johnson to less than 17.2 points to advance in my bigger league. In my other league, Russell Wilson was my RG3 replacement and I still managed to lose by 30.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 17, 2012 -> 07:53 AM) Tim Brown ‏@TBrownYahoo Stephen Drew agrees to one-year, $9.5-million contract with Red Sox, according to @JonHeymanCBS. Pending physical. Why did the Red Sox send all those contracts to LA if they are just gonna give different players the same bad money? What an awful job that front office is doing.
  13. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 01:08 AM) 0 days. But I was more understanding of the last one, if that makes any sense. The last one was a necessity for the survivial of the game one could say. This is just a major clusterf*** while the game seems to be thriving.
  14. QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 16, 2012 -> 02:16 AM) Greg sorry to burst your bubble but the majority of violence in the world right now and in the entire history of the world is BECAUSE of religion. If only those Al-Qaeda terrorists were religious and believed in a God, 9/11 would have never happened. Oh wait.
  15. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 15, 2012 -> 03:20 PM) Butler has NO chance in overtime. Like I said, NO chance. Great game to watch. That helps Illinois's resume too.
  16. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Dec 15, 2012 -> 03:24 PM) Can anyone confirm or deny whether the PA announcer is the same guy the Sox use? I swear it's him. That's gotta be him. It's not like he has any Blackhawk games to do.
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 15, 2012 -> 02:10 PM) Man, they laughed at him? I guess they know the Cubs aren't going anywhere, so f*** 'em. They can pay for their own renovations. That Cub team is going to lose 100 games again. It's by far the worst team in the league now that the Astros are in the AL. Do they have any pitching at all? Starters or pen?? Don't you remember greg? Jeff Samardzija? Paul Konerko's face? NEVER FORGET!!!!!
  18. Kind of a weak Challenge this season, those rookies sucked, but the final looks pretty damn intense. I hope Vegas or Devyn's boobs win it all. On a side note, MTV's lineup of shows is just utter & complete trash, I can barely handle the commercials. (I forward through them on DVR but you still see parts of them)
  19. I watched Ted last night, what a disappointment, although I should have expected that from Family Guy's downslide. It might have been better if 80% if the funny jokes weren't in the trailer.
  20. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Dec 14, 2012 -> 03:54 PM) Andy Martino ‏@MartinoNYDN Really believe Toronto is strong frontrunner, but can report Texas has indicated will trade Olt and RHP Cody Buckel for Dickey. Oh my god, what are the Mets waiting for? They should have jumped all over it if it was just Olt, not Olt PLUS Buckel, a 2nd RD pick who dominated High-A at 19 years old, and did really well at AA when he turned 20 over the summer. Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal Source: #Rangers no longer involved in Dickey talks. And did not offer Olt and Buckel to #Mets.
  21. So much for that Northwestern tourney bid Teddy Greenstein ‏@TeddyGreenstein Drew Crawford has a torn labrum and will undergo season-ending surgery. Wow. #northwestern
  22. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Dec 14, 2012 -> 02:57 PM) yea well, an authoritarian government will fix a lot of problems. every Chicago gang member would be executed if they were in China. so no more gang violence but it causes a ton of other problems to say the least. Yeah, the stabby guy in China will not see 2014, that's for sure. He will be lucky if he sees 2013.
  23. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Dec 14, 2012 -> 02:15 PM) 31 fatal U.S. school shootings since Columbine. School shootings in every other country in the world combined since that time: 14. China constantly has school stabbings, not shootings. In fact, one happened yesterday I believe. A mentally deranged man went up to a school and just stabbed 20+ kids outside. Of course, a knife is a much less efficient killing tool as a gun, so the death toll was minimal.
