  1. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 05:14 PM) You hold on to that hope that that record will remain somewhat the same. You're going to be in for a shock. And please, how is Crean and Indiana disrespecting the Bigten and it's coaches????? Looks to me like he put the Bigten in the spotlight the past two years. He's not badmouthing anyone. I recall earlier this year him praising Wisconsin and Ryan every chance he got saying their the team in the conference to look out for. It's the same s***, different day with you and all things Indiana. It's pathetic, really. You're so damn butthurt, it's sad. We get it. You don't like Crean. You didn't think Indiana would come storming back. He's "creaning" kids left and right, but yet you can't find one article or instance to support your BS from a former player speaking out against him. Newsflash, he's in the bottom 1/3 of the B1G in transfer rates since he got to the bigten. There's this team in the Big Ten named Ohio State, you might wanna look them up. They have been kind of successful the past two years, they may have been a tad more important in keeping the Big Ten relevant than Indiana has.
  2. Wow! The offensive line finally shows some fight! vaughn mcclure‏@vxmcclure23Chilo Rachal leaves the Bears for personal reasons. James Brown elevated to active roster. Rachal on reserve/left squad list. According to multiple sources, Chilo Rachal became upset after being demoted for Chris Spencer, couldn't handle it, and just left.
  3. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 11:41 AM) I think everyone knows what it is, but it is still awesome. If Grinnell played a D-1 school and the D-1 coach ran up the score, everyone would call him an asshole. Grinnell picks out a much inferior opponent, runs up the score, and everyone calls it a great sporting achievement.
  4. vaughn mcclure ‏@vxmcclure23 Lovie Smith confirmed Alshon Jeffery scope. Smith said expected out 2-4 weeks. Jay Cutler has been cleared to practice. He has not been cleared to play Sunday. Cutler still has to be cleared by independent neurologist before returning to game action.
  5. QUOTE (YASNY @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 11:38 AM) In a conversation I had yesterday with my dad, I said that it would not shock me at all if Mark hung 'em up. From everything Mark used to say, it wouldn't be surprising at all. However, based on his old comments, it was also such a huge surprise that he signed with Miami under the circumstances. His contract is also so back-loaded, Miami only paid him $6 million. There is still $48 million laying on the table.
  6. Mark Gonzales ‏@MDGonzales White Sox re-sign OF dewayne Wise Wise signs for 700K
  7. Deadspin: D-III player's 138 point game is a sham record and shouldn't be celebrated by anyone Interesting breakdown of the game & Grinnell's game plan
  8. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 10:06 AM) Kid on the other team scored 70 points. How does it feel to score 70 points and lose by 75. The kid with the 70 points is actually more impressive I think as he was 34-44 shooting and had no three's I think that 77% shooting has everything to do with Grinell's defensive philosophy. They all-out full court press the whole game to force turnovers, and don't care about half-court defense.
  9. f*** yeah, bring Gortat here to little Warsaw!
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 09:07 AM) Very disappointed in him this year. but I also think they are still forcefeeding Hester, the guy is on the field far too much at important times They have it set in their mind that Devin Hester can play like Randall Cobb. After seven seasons, it's time to realize he is a returner and nothing else.
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 07:32 AM) Did anyone else on Grinnell College's roster attempt a shot besides Jack Taylor? Here is the link to the box score. The old D-III record was 89, set last year by his teamate Griffin Lentsch. Lentsch only scored 7 points last night.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 21, 2012 -> 09:03 AM) We should be able to get Earl Bennett more involved...where the hell has he been this year? He missed two games with injury in the middle of the year. Looking at his stats, he had been getting the targets, just hadn't been producing. 16 catches on 32 targets for only 178 yards in 6 games, nothing special. (Didn't include the last two, since the Bears had no offense)
  13. Civilian bus bombed in Tel Aviv, 20+ injured
  14. Jeff Passan: If Marlins are serious about rebuilding, they should trade Giancarlo Stanton now
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) The Chicago-Sun Times reports Alshon Jeffery's Wednesday knee scope will be "minor," and likely sideline him 2-4 weeks. Well, that was a fun week. f***. 1st and 2nd round draft picks are finally producing as rookies, and they both get hurt. Now we get even more of "Devin Hester, wide receiver." Great.
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 06:42 PM) The Cubs have acquired right-hander Barret Loux from the Rangers in exchange for right-hander Jake Brigham and a player to be named later, the Cubs announced. Read more at http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/#occyMtLOXvpdKcI9.99 http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/11/cubs...assignment.html Cubs acquired Barrett Loux for Jake Brigham. I don't understand why they didn't just get Loux in the first place. And that's a pretty big fall for a guy that made the NL All Star Team last year. It says in the article that Lahair will pursue an opportunity in Japan. Maybe it's because Brigham got injured after two starts for the Cubs. Kind of a good faith move by the Rangers that they didn't purposely trade away damaged goods?
  17. Just got an e-mail from the Bears: "Chicago Bears 2012 Postseason Ticket Invoice". Perfect timing!!! Luckily, they let you just give a credit card number, but they don't actually charge you until a home game has been scheduled.
  18. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 04:41 PM) JIM BOWDEN ‏@JimBowdenESPNxm Tigers working on signing Stephen Drew to play SS then would trade Peralta to Arizona or Boston I don't get the infatuation with Stephen Drew. Is he great defensively? If not, I don't see him as a big upgrade to Peralta, and plus Drew has his injury problems.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 01:11 PM) I remember stories from the last big lockout about Keith Tkachuk coming into camp at almost 300 pounds. I'm sure there would be plenty of those kind of stories. You know Dusty Buff would be a #1 contender for most out of shape after a lockout.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 01:03 PM) Wow. That is crazy. That will be some ugly hockey at the beginning I bet.
  21. Penn State's Tim Frazier out for the year with an Achilles injury. Sucks for him. I don't know how competitive PSU was gonna be in the B1g this year anyway, but now they have no chance.
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 11:45 AM) Probably helps more that both run pro-style offenses. I think had Saban stuck around long enough, he would have turned things around in Miami too, but the college game is all the pride with such little disappointment for a guy as skilled as he is. As with any NFL coach, it also helps to have a competent QB, cause without one of those you have no chance.
  23. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 11:43 AM) Yes i do believe that the 49ers will win the championship. So do many other so- called NFL experts Oh we know you do, don't worry. We have been reminded of that predicition numerous times.
  24. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 11:38 AM) I think he will either be a big hit or Steve Spurrier. It will be a risk for whoever brings him in. College coaches just haven't had success in recent years going to the NFL. Harbaugh & Schiano have seemed to buck the trend recently. I wonder if it helps that both are hard asses.
  25. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Nov 20, 2012 -> 11:32 AM) Did I have the 49ers rank #1 in my top 5 rankings over the last month? I never said every other team sucks. I said months ago, the Bears would get destroyed against the 49ers and guess what, the Bears were an embarassment last night You would rank the NFL teams via record, yet still preface it with your 49ers pick to win the Super Bowl still looks good. And many Bears fans also thought they would get spanked by the 49ers, so way to go out on a limb.
