  1. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 11:35 AM) Please stop. This is not absolute fact but merely opinion that cannot be universally applied to all batters in all slots. If your eyes told you that Adam Dunn helped the team more than he hurt it this year then that's your opinion. My opinion is that he, along with a few other hitters, killed us. He hurt us the most because he placed an unfeared, auto-out in between our stack of good hitters. Just because he hit 41 pitches hard this year does not discount the other 1500 that fooled him. Stats aside I'd rate the offense like this: DeAza- tough out Youk- tough out Dunn- easy out PK- tough out Rios- tough out AJ- tough out Tank- easy out Alexei- easy out Jimmy- easy out IMO Dunn was the biggest problem. AJ made outs at a higher percentage than Dunn did, so you are just wrong. And Rios & Dunn were at about the same clip.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 11:14 AM) Lots of funny business going out there with the polls Sometimes it is hard to tell which things are user error and which are legitimately troubling It's troubling that we trust Floridians with the future of this country. That's where most the poll issues seem to occur.
  3. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) I hope this image can change the mind anyone who considered voting for Romney It's funny because Democrats don't work!
  4. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 10:26 AM) LOL, "Black Panthers" already making a return. Awesome. Cam Newton & DeAngelo Williams are making their voices heard!
  5. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 10:09 AM) Gary Johnson is on 47 ballots. Jill Stein is on 42. How many is Roseanne Barr on?
  6. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) ProFootballTalk ‏@ProFootballTalk Jay Cutler would like to talk contract after the season It's pretty much a lock that he will be given a new contract in the offseason.
  7. So what's the deal with Amendment 49 in Illinois? It's written so incoherently, I believe they are trying to trick the voters. On first read, it sounds like it can help limit lawmakers' ability to increase their pensions. But after doing some research, apparently it makes it easier, eliminating current restrictions. It's kind of tough to determine what is actually going on with it.
  8. I think I am gonna have to avoid Twitter until tomorrow, it's worse than during the debates.
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 6, 2012 -> 09:12 AM) Coming off an Achilles injury while also being older and fatter
  10. Barack Obama doesn't care about white people!!!
  11. I predict that Obama will have a big early lead tomorrow, until the Republicans get off work.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 12:55 PM) I think some, other than those that MUST vote on a different day, are anticipating an even more difficult voting experience on Tuesday. I don't know if those are all inaccurate anticipations of Tuesday or not. That's interesting, I guess it's good that they care about voting that much. Like I had said, I have voted in 4 different cities in my life and never once have I experienced any kind of line.
  13. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) 1 point for every 4 carries and length of touchdown bonus. 3 of Martins TDs were from 60 yards plus. The scoring is stupid in this league though, FGs of 50+ are worth anything from 12 to 24 points depending on the length. Was Janikowski a first round pick?
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 11:42 AM) I don't understand leagues that could have a team with 2 starting RBs on their bench. The question is, who did he start over those two?
  15. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 01:38 PM) I think it's fair to say at this point that we need to upgrade both tackle positions. Carimi's pass protection is below average even if he is pretty good on the run. I'm still willing to give Carimi time to develop, he has only played 9.5 NFL games in his career.
  16. Romney just got the most important endorsement: Jay Cutler
  17. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 11:21 AM) I can't imagine anyone would be so stupid. You are giving MLB executives way too much credit.
  18. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 09:59 AM) Current injured players for the Packers. Jordy Nelson Brian Bulaga Greg Jennings John Kuhn Sam Shields Nick Perry Jerel Worthy Charles Woodson Cedric Benson Frank Zombo Clay Matthews Never been so excited for a bye week. I still don't get why they let Nelson play yesterday. I'm sure that he felt much better, but it's a game that you should win easily without him, and the bye week was coming up too. That's an extra two week rest for him.
  19. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 09:43 AM) Yeah, I already acknowledged I looked 1 game ahead in the schedule. Are you really going this far to make a "joke"? I had several drinks during the Bears game, and yes, I found it funny.
  20. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 11:10 PM) Jeez, what kind of point system do you use? Point per carry?
  21. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 08:38 AM) The Bears vs 49ers game will be a preview of the NFC Championship.. I believe by the end of the year they will be the two top teams in the NFL. With Atlanta already 8-0, they have to be the favorites for the #1 seed, even if they are not the best team. That would mean the Bears/49ers would be more likely to meet in Divisional Playoff round. And I'm not ready to count the Packers out of the NFC North race either, not with the way the Bears offensive line is still struggling.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 07:49 AM) All I know is that if Romney wins, Nate Silver should close his blog down. He is leaving small windows open in case Mitt win but predicts a big time Obama win. It would almost be as bad as his 72-90 prediction for the 2007 White Sox. Oh, wait a second...
  23. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 07:13 PM) This election will have a record number of early voters, as did the previous. Both campaigns have seen the utility in pushing early voting. But why? And I don't see why a voter would spend his whole Saturday in line when they can vote in 5 minutes on Tuesday. I guess some people may have work obligations, but the polls are open for 13 hours and most aren't working 5 hours OT.
  24. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 11:27 PM) Just when I write Boardwalk Empire off, they come with the strongest episode in a long, long time. That was definitely a bad ass episode. I'm wondering if they are gonna keep Chicago as a seperate storyline, or if somehow they will get involved on the East Coast when s*** hits the fan.
  25. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 4, 2012 -> 07:56 PM) It's Boston College. Are you sure about that?
