  1. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 12:50 PM) We agree as I just posted the same thing in the Rally Crede thread.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 12:47 PM) I'm just speaking for myself here, but that Rally Crede thing is the dumbest f***ing thing I've seen here.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 12:43 PM) Tigers go 4-2 the last two series. 88 wins. Playoffs. More like 3-3 the last two series. 87 wins. Sox go 5-2. Game 163.
  4. Tigers bad defense has rub off on the Royals, 1-0 already.
  5. Tigers have the day game today, first pitch at noon CT.
  6. I think Shields is pitching tonight? Price is going Sunday.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 09:12 AM) Better question, what if Ozzie doesn't play him? Haha, considering Ozzie's history of playing big name vets over rookies, I wouldn't put it past him. That would guarantee his immediate firing.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:21 AM) Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi Adam Greenberg, hit in head during only #MLB plate appearance seven years ago, signs one-day contract with #Marlins. He will play Tues. What if he got hit by a pitch again?
  9. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:56 AM) Plus Ed Hochuli gets to flex his muscles. Actually didn't Hochuli blow a call a couple years ago that may have cost a team a game? Yup, and it involved Chicago's favorite quarterback. Although I believe they have since changed the rules so that this type of play could be reversed.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:50 AM) Yea, the travesty that happened monday night would never happen on Ed Hochuli's watch. PI's, False Starts will be missed, but game winning blown calls will not happen The regular refs would have taken a second to conference and discuss the play to make sure they saw the same thing. Instead of nodding at each other and making different calls.
  11. Cubs tickets are more expensive, as is their "parking" for the most part, and yet their attendance seems to do fine.
  12. I'm starting to think that the White Sox true fanbase just isn't that big, despite being in Chicago. I'm sure the stadium to the north has a lot to do with that. The casual sports fan and/or tourist who may go to 1 or 2 games a year is way more likely to buy a ticket to a Cubs game, so the Sox really miss out on that market. Looking back at 2005's attendance numbers, that was the best team in baseball, and the stadium was empty numerous times in September. Were prices that expensive back then? I doubt it. There was a major attendace spike after the World Series, but how much of that was corporate sponsors jumping on the WS bandwagon, along with random neutral fans doing the same thing? I realize that Sox playoff games historically sell out without a problem, but that happens in every pro town. (other than Atlanta & Miami)
  13. San Francisco #1? Did they not take housing prices into account?
  14. White Sox: 9 (7 games left) Tigers: 7 (7 games left) Thursday Games: KC (Mendoza) @ DET (Fister) 12:05 TB (Shields) @ CWS Peavy) 7:10
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 02:08 PM) Where will Jabari Parker go to school? Is he one and done? Will Kentucky land both Parker and Julius Randle? BYU. Mormons stick together.
  16. ADA 7 Youk 5 Dunn dh PK14 3 Rios 9 AJP 2 Alexei 6 Wise 8 Beckham 4 Choo 9 Kipnis 4 Cabrera 6 Santana 3 Canzler 7 Hafner dh Chisenhal 5 Marson 2 Carrera 8
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) As expected, KC is laying down. Love the over dramatization of everything. Just because KC lost twice, doesn't mean they are laying down.
  18. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 12:01 PM) And they added the previous years batting champ, Jose Reyes I hadn't heard much about Reyes this season, but he is 3rd in WAR out of all MLB shortstops, so can't fault him for being a bad baseball player.
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 12:00 PM) We had one of the weakest benches of any team in baseball. There was no easy way to rest Youk, Alexei or Beckham without a big defensive fall-off, and let's not get started on what Olmedo and Jose Lopez did in critical games down the stretch. KW had a chance to address this in July and August, and failed to do so. He had to trade away half his bench to get Youkilis & Liriano.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 11:49 AM) Missing 2, pretty sure one was Myers against McLouth/Orioles. He missed 2 by Nate Jones. When Myers came in that BAL game, it was tied, so he just got the loss. He blew his own win, so that's not a blown save.
  21. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 11:07 AM) If the Tigers would've played .500 ball vs Seattle, Texas & Cleveland, they'd be up at least a half dozen or so games right now instead of being tied for first, it's that simple. Fixed.
  22. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 11:31 PM) It's funny how all these teams we play seem to have motivation. Why can't our team play with the same motivation? I persoanlly don't see a lack of motivation. I just see a brutal slump at the wrong time. Youkilis has been banged up all year and is playing like he did in Boston. Konerko has slumped since he reached .399. Adam Dunn is Adam Dunn, you get homers, you get strikeouts. Rios carried the team for a while, he can't play like that forever. AJP has had a career year overall. Viciedo is still young and unable to hit righties consistently. The pitching stuff is tired too, but they are keeping the team in games, but the offense isn't scoring enough.
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 03:44 AM) And Greg just called Buehrle a bad baseball player in his efforts to absolve Ozzie of all blame. Ha, good catch.
