  2. I saw Trouble with the Curve last night. (Whoever watched the Sox game, probably watched the same thing). It was entertaining, could have used a little more baseball IMO. Clint Eastwood doesn't act anymore, he just takes roles as a miserable, grunting old man and acts normally.
  3. Wow, really? There are 12 days left in the regular season, and despite popular belief, the White Sox are in first place. The off season is very long and slow, there will be plenty of time to talk about the Sox crappy farm system, aging roster, blah blah blah. Can't people just enjoy the first real pennant race in 4 years?
  4. Thanks Jake. That's not what we were looking for, but I'm sure you gave 120%.

  6. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 03:00 PM) So if we're all in agreement that the records against KC and Detroit show this team has certain mental handicaps and after all that they are STILL in first and STILL control their destiny, if they make the playoffs wouldn't the 11-4 record against the Yankees and Texas being a mental advantage? I'd take that trade any day of the week. Or does certain records against certain teams only work if its a negative? Welcome to Soxtalk. When it comes to the White Sox, there only are negatives.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 02:08 PM) I hope you are right. The games are at home and Minnie is rotten. Tigers are actually 5-1 vs. the Twins in Minneapolis, but only 2-4 vs. them @ Comerica.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 01:42 PM) Season begins tonight. No more games against KC making the Sox and their fandom think they are pretenders. No more games against Detroit unless there's a 1-game playoff. Time to put up or shut up. Odds are currently stacked against the Sox this weekend. I think most reasonable people expect 2 losses in Anaheim coupled with 3 Detroit wins. So prove people wrong, White Sox. Make the playoffs and prove all the fans who took the summer off and didn't flock to your games wrong. And did most reasonable people assume the Royals would sweep Detroit, the Sox would sweep the Yankees, Cleveland would win 2 of 3 in Detroit, etc? Detroit doesn't have Verlander or Scherzer pitching this weekend, no way they sweep.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 01:27 PM) Ugh. That was a waste of a click. Yeah it was, my bad. What a major d-bag.
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 02:11 PM) This will go down as one of the top 10 moments of the 2012 Cubs season (has nothing to do with the Cubs players). http://deadspin.com/5944189/some-jackass-m...getting-ejected I guys Kyle beat me to it...oh well. Deadspin is hosting an open chat with the star of the video.
  11. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 12:49 PM) I wonder if people look at our schedule and also say "well, there's a game we should have lost but didn't" with the same zeal I guess we're too busy with the "worst. 2 game lead. ever." rhetoric I don't think the Sox should have gone 11-5 vs. Texas & the Yankees, so we should probably give a few of those games back, right?
  12. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 10:27 AM) Tallest midget in a s*** division. Who cares? A playoff berth is a playoff berth.
  13. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) Excellent, just got 4 for both games. Same here. Thanks for the code!
  14. Unless the Sox make up 5 games to the Yankees and Orioles, the ALDS "Game 3" tickets are pointless, right?
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 09:33 AM) Tigers vs Min 2-1 Porcello, Fister, Scherzer vs KC 3-1 Verlander, Sanchez, Porcello, Fister at Min 2-1 Scherzer, Verlander, Sanchez at KC 2-1 Porcello, Fister, Scherzer he is definitely out this Sunday, his other 2 starts TBD
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 09:38 AM) Decent seats still left. Too bad I am broke. That's what credit cards are for!
  17. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 09:09 AM) People that get Lake Michigan tap water and still drink bottled water should be drowned. in Lake Michigan. Naturally.
  18. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 08:08 AM) Sox vs. remaining schedule in 2012 thus far -- 14-6 Tigers vs. remaining schedule in 2012 thus far -- 15-14 But I thought "good" teams never ever ever lose to the Royals or Twins?
  19. I started David Wilson in weeks 1 & 2 for a total of -1 points, so I think I deserved this Andre Brown outburst.
  20. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 21, 2012 -> 06:44 AM) Sox and Detroit now have an exactly equal number of home and away games remaining, with the Sox still holding a two game lead. Sox have their most difficult of the four remaining series next, while the Tigers have their easiest, so losing one more game off the lead over the weekend shouldn't be a disaster. For any fans worried about the upcoming schedule, I pass along these two important facts: 1. Against teams not based in Detroit & Kansas City, the Sox have played .616 (69-43) baseball this season. 2. The Sox have zero games left against teams from Detroit & Kansas City.
  21. Sox need a win tomorrow. Prove me wrong Jake, prove me wrong.
