  1. Wow. Considering that it's Single A and position players were pitching, I think the coach made the right move. There's no reason to risk injury to keep the game going. link
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 09:17 AM) From all i have read, Dwill and Dwight are attached at the hip As an Illini guy, I root for Deron so I guess it's good for him. But Howard has acted like a bigger b**** than even LeBron & the Decision, so seeing everything work out well for him will annoy the s*** out of me.
  3. If Howard goes to Brooklyn, I really hope D-Will signs with Dallas.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 08:26 AM) Who the hell names their kid "Roy"? Someone who raises a family in Weir, MS. God forbid your kids see a stoplight once in a while.
  5. Maz Scherzer scratched from tonight's start (hamstring), Twins to face Duane Be-low instead.
  6. QUOTE (High Mileage @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 10:04 PM) Lots of disappointed Royals' fans after the Home Run Derby picks were announced... Billy Butler may have broken the record for most doubles in a Home Run Derby. Jokes aside, I think they should have included him, give the KC fans something extra to cheer for. It's not some light-hitting infielder, he has 16 HR this year.
  7. It turns out the rest of the AL Central is just as bad at home as the Sox are.
  8. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 05:37 PM) FWIW, I dont usually have time to watch MLB Network but both Chris Rose and Kevin Millar prediction for end of July is new team atop of AL Center whether it be Tigers or Indians. Nice work guys. Don't even pick which team, that's top notch journalism right there.
  9. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 03:01 PM) True, but Brookbank is the type of stay-at-home d-man that is willing to block shots on a PK. He's a younger and quicker Brent Sopel. And probably better than Hammer at that part of the game. Brookbank does sound like the type of D-man the Hawks were lacking last year, although he's probably just a #5/6. Thought I read that he would have been 3rd on the time in hits last season. And he's 9 years younger than Sean O'Donnell, which is nice.
  10. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 02:43 PM) Park across the highway, by the green line. It's an ITT parking lot, across the street from a Starbucks. It's $12 for an all day pass at their kiosk, though there are cheaper options. Make sure you drive into the part that's gated and has concrete blocks on the other side of the lot. There's a mural facing that side with R. Kelly and Dr. King If you park on the other side of the concrete blocks, the White Sox get to utilize that parking and it's $20 and they only let you park there when their other lots fill up.
  11. Parise in a Hawks uniform would be awesome, but that would probably require trading Hammer, and correct if I'm wrong but scoring goals wasn't the problem last year, giving up goals was the big issue. Seems like spending that money on Suter would make more sense, although I'm convinced he will be a Red Wing.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 02:18 PM) Apparently the 100m runoff for the final women's spot happened today, but I'm waiting to watch tonight. Well it was scheduled for tonight and was to be shown live on NBC. But the woman who originally was declared in 3rd place has withdrawn from the runoff.
  13. Anthony Davis severely sprains his ankle, out for the Olympics.
  14. Bettman reduced the Raffi Torres suspension by 4 games. From 12 to start the season down to 8.
  15. Catching a game at Miller Park on Wednesday. Ozzie & his band of misfits happen to be the opponent, although looks like I miss #56 by one day.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 07:55 AM) Suter would be a huge add. I think he's going to Detroit.
  17. Cleveland & Detroit play tonight Jered Weaver vs. Ubaldo in Cleveland Liam Hendriks vs. Fister in Detroit
  18. Gotta love AJ: "@aandro: Rangers manager Ron Washington said All-Star omission he feels for most is White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski." @scottmerkin: AJ on Washington feeling bad he was left off: "If (Washington) felt that bad he would have put me on the team."
