  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 15, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) Wow, seems stupid to admit that then...were they implying that he was the victim of a practical joke or that this just happened accidentally? Had to be an accident. No way that happens as a joke to that day's starting pitcher.
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 15, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) I am assuming they won the game or else they wouldn't be laughing about this? Nope, they got smoked 6-1
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 15, 2012 -> 05:12 PM) Then again outside of a couple of players that is truth for all. only 6 current players were on the roster in 2008
  4. QUOTE (mcgrad70 @ May 15, 2012 -> 06:17 PM) I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired on Sox fans with their low expectations. This is why the ownership gets away with putting inferior products on the field. LOL at posting this in fathom's direction.
  5. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 15, 2012 -> 05:14 PM) He looked like a shell of himself this year, doesn't matter what position he was at. Also, age 23 doesn't help your cause, as he should be improving from 20/21. But the only excuse is alcohol & partying, right? No way his wrist injury affected him, or the position changes, or just had an off year which happens. He had his lowest shooting percentage of his career, which luck can play a certain factor into.
  6. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 15, 2012 -> 05:43 PM) Kane is Theo Fleury in the making.... Hopefully he is Bobby Hull in the making. Dude was a drunk racist, but he played some damn good hockey.
  7. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 15, 2012 -> 05:07 PM) His point production has dropped each of the last two years, and is down 25% from two years ago. This past season was kind of bad, yes. But the year after the Cup, he was on a similar point pace, had a knee injury that cost him 8 games, and lets be honest, the whole team was missing a beat after the long Cup run.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 15, 2012 -> 05:23 PM) Paulie and AJ quit? No way. They played for Ozzie as they played to the end today with hits in the ninth. This team coughed away a 6-0 lead at home today. Utter failure by the team. September 2011 OPS: Paul Konerko - .643 AJ Pierzynski - .642 September was the worst month of 2011 for both of them
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 15, 2012 -> 05:00 PM) Says who? Second basemen are a dime a dozen in baseball. You can always find a second baseman with the production of a Beckham/Getz. That's why I'm saying they are the same guy. That's why you need good defense from him...
  10. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 15, 2012 -> 04:23 PM) I don't remember MJ's performance ever backsliding much when he was winning his multiple titles and MVPs; certainly not to the degree Kaner's has over the last two seasons. One bad season at age 23 after having wrist surgery and being jerked around spots inthe lineup???
  11. holy s***, I got home and turned on the TV to see Viciedo's long shot. About 2-3 feet from winning the game
  12. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ May 15, 2012 -> 03:44 PM) Sure got quiet in here. That's funny, it's usually the other way around.
  13. Closer madness continues: David Robertson to the DL with an oblique strain
  14. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 15, 2012 -> 03:25 PM) Yo Robin Ohman is a LOOGY get that through your f***ing head. If you want someone to face RHH he is not the guy. That was very Ozzie-like on Robin's part
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 15, 2012 -> 03:14 PM) So much for the good Peavy. It was nice while it lasted. Strasburg got lit up by the Padres today. Are you saying the same thing about him?
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 15, 2012 -> 02:55 PM) Dunn went entire months last season without having three liners like he's had today... 98 pitches and still only 12 outs for Scherzer. Ballester? 21,473 on one of the nicest days for baseball all season? Yeah, yeah, school's not out. That's not bad for a Tuesday afternoon at all.
  17. Twins just got shut out by Derek Lowe's corpse Tristan H. Cockcroft ‏ @SultanofStat Derek Lowe is the first player in more than a decade to throw a shutout without recording a strikeout. (Scott Erickson, 4/28/02.)
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 15, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) You are such a trail blazing partier. You don't know the half of it
  19. QUOTE (KG#1 @ May 15, 2012 -> 01:50 PM) Bryce Harper home run #2 The Padres scored 4 runs on Strasburg in 4 innings
  20. This is Bryan LaHair's world, everyone else is just living in it
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 15, 2012 -> 02:00 PM) The kid has done nothing but get worse the last 3 seasons. Meanwhile, his partying ways have increased. If Kane follows a simple development path of a 21 year old who nets 88 points, we'd be looking at a superstar who could have, you know, helped the Blackhawks get a little further this season. Instead, Kane continues to regress when he should be greatly improving, all the while party party party act like an idiot. How many other young NHL "superstars" do you see getting black out drunk and having multiple people claim he's assaulting a woman, and at best acting like an idiot, taunting cops, and passing out in bars. I follow sports for one reason - to hope my teams win. When I see a little s*** like Patrick Kane care more about locking down p**** of fat ugly college girls and act like a complete douchebag, it annoys me. That is because we have statistical evidence that he is not applying himself enough to improve at the craft that is giving him millions of dollars. More power to Patrick, do what you want. I've been rather consistent that I'd like to see him doing that elsewhere. Joe, we all get it, you're - how old? I seriously have no idea - but you can't even afford a cell phone with a data plan so you can't be old enough to understand. A 23 year old like Patrick Kane - hell, like Slav, where is he (I think he's 22 or 23), understands that it's time to get your ass in gear. I just don't think you can understand at this point, and you think PK is just cool as hell because he's acting like a complete idiot (and let's not forget putting himself, his career, and the Blackhawks on whole in jeopardy). PARTY ON WOOOO KANERRRRR He has had one down season, which immediately followed offseason wrist surgery, and he was also flip flopping in between center & wing all year. From the 88 point year to the next, he went from 1.07 pts/G to an even 1.0, which isn't bad, especially considering the long Cup run, the dismantling of the team, and missing 8 games due to a knee injury. BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL!!!!!!!!
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 15, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) And yet the team felt compelled to defend him there. Were they defending Kaner or the married family man John Madden who was in there too?
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 15, 2012 -> 01:58 PM) da....DA ...am I doing it right? Nope. it's A-D-A! A-D-A!
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2012 -> 01:45 PM) Hard to argue when Detroit easily could have scored a few runs in the first also. And last night...
