  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 3, 2012 -> 02:49 AM) He's 3 days older then me. God damn. Has there ever been a luckier three consecutive first rounders in Strasburg-Harper-Rendon? They sure as hell picked the best two seasons to be the worst team in baseball. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 3, 2012 -> 01:56 AM) He walked a batter too, unless of course that walk took place after the 3rd strike pass ball, and would have been the 3rd out. I have no idea if that was the case though. No. Passed ball in the 2nd, walk in the 7th.
  3. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ May 2, 2012 -> 03:03 PM) Posted this over on talkbears in reference to people not liking the Mcclellin pick because he was undersized, went to a Boise State, and wasnt that productive.....figured id share my research with anyone on this board that fears the same thing. ChaCha answers says the average DE is 6'4" and between 250-290 pounds...an inch shorter than average, I'll take that with the speed he posses. ----- Jared Allen- Idaho State Demarcus Ware- Troy Jason Babin- Western Michigan Jason Pierre Paul- South Florida Those are your 2011 top 4 NFL sack leaders and what college they came from. Not a big school in the bunch. ----- Here are some of his results against ranked opponents 2010 vs #10 Virginia Tech: 6 tackles/2.5 Sacks 2010 vs #24 Oregon State: 2 tackles/0.5 Sacks 2010 vs #19 Utah (Maaco Bowl): 4 tackles/1 Sack 2011 vs #19 Georgia: 7 tackles/2.5 sacks So thats 6.5 sacks in 4 games against ranked opponents. He had 16.5 sacks over the last two years total. So my concern is how come he only 10 sacks in the other 20 or so games against unranked opponents?
  4. ADA - CF Alexei - SS Dunn - 1B Paulie - DH AJP - C Rios - RF Viciedo - LF Brent M. - 3B Gordo - 2B
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 2, 2012 -> 02:27 PM) didnt Duerson do that deliberately so that his brain could be examined? I thought I read that somewhere Exactly, that's why I mentioned it. We have no idea if that's what Seau was thinking, but it's possible. I would think a shot to the head is more common.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2012 -> 02:30 PM) jinxed Don't blame me, it was his fault!!
  7. Don't jinx it caulfield....it is KC we are talking about
  8. Interesting to note that Seau shot himself in the chest, not in the head, just like Dave Duerson
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2012 -> 01:05 PM) No one. A new bit in the latest CBA allows for one extra roster spot on the day of a doubleheader. Duh, I knew that. It's hard to remember when MLB actually does something right for a change.
  10. Thank god the G8 summit got moved or it would have been way way worse. I have several cop friends in the area and they have all been told that absolutely no one is allowed to request off when NATO is here.
  11. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 2, 2012 -> 11:41 AM) Is ours* Excuse me. Sole possession of 1st place shall be ours!!!
  12. Nashville suspends Radulov & A. Kostitsyn for game 3. Apparently, the Russian friends were ordering bottle service at the W until the wee hours on the eve of game 2.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 2, 2012 -> 11:30 AM) i didnt even know Fujita was still in the league Well he does play for the Browns...
  14. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ May 2, 2012 -> 11:20 AM) I'm basking in the Albert Pujols results one month into the season. Couldn't have happened to a better guy. It's foolish to think this continues for much longer, but I appreciate each and every day that it does. Everyone's favorite base-stealer Dee Gordon hit one of the facade of the 2nd deck at Coors yesterday. He is now out-homering Pujols as well.
  15. Don't f*** with Roger Goddell!!! Jason La Canfora ‏ @JasonLaCanfora NFL announces Vilma suspended for the season; Hargrove 8 games, Will Smith 4 games and Fujita 3 games
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2012 -> 09:45 AM) Very cool story. Kudos to Tampa http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colle...0,5163362.story Will everyone keep praising Tampa when they cut him during training camp?
  17. QUOTE (Cali @ May 2, 2012 -> 10:16 AM) So basically count on at least one loss in the doubleheader. Cleveland will probably have to do the same thing. Then again, we know how successful the Sox are the first time around vs. AAA pitchers.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 1, 2012 -> 06:27 PM) Tigers start out with five hits and an ill-advised Hosmer throw to home plate resulting in an error CONSECUTIVELY. Looks like batting practice against Hochevar. He's definitely not 100% after that ball went off his ankle in the Royals' home opened when he gave up 7 in the first inning to the Indians. All of his pitches look fat and lazy, not a good recipe for success against DET. It sounds like he is 100% to me. He is just really bad at pitching a baseball.
  19. Angels face Francisco Liriano tonight. If Pujols can't hit a homer against him, then he's officially f***ed.
  20. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ May 1, 2012 -> 02:56 PM) Probably would mean Ogando in the rotation instead of Yu Darvish. Or they can't afford Adrian Beltre
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 1, 2012 -> 02:46 PM) Andy's movie reenactments had me rolling. "Then, Boom! He rips out the guy's esophagus. Then that guy's gonna die of course, cause you can't eat without an esophagus"
