  1. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 05:36 PM) I have a bad feeling here against Reddick. It looked like it could be trouble off the bat, but he hit it too high.
  2. I have no problem with Ohman in. Sogard & Reddick are lefties. If Cespedes makes it up, that's why Nate Jones is warming up. It's extra innings, you have to use Ohman at some point.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 05:25 PM) Have you seen how skinny he is this year? Did he stop working with Conte?
  4. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 04:54 PM) 15, 16, 23 are so pure. 23 is something else
  5. Did Hawk just call Viciedo Tank, not Tanks?? Thank the Lord.
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 04:49 PM) Who wants to bet me Rios gets a hit to right? Your prediction was 50% correct...
  7. Michael Pineda with a torn labrum, out for the year.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 03:13 PM) New bench coach Mark Parent was a major league catcher for parts of 13 different seasons. That would make sense. A new manager changing the attitude in the clubhouse only helps so much, other changes require actual coaching. AJ isn't getting any younger, and he is throwing out runners much better this year. (I realize Cespedes got himself out today.)
  9. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 03:08 PM) The improvement in holding/throwing out baserunners this season has been nothing short of phenominal. Is there a new bench coach on the bench that could be directly responsible for this? Don't see that as something Robin would directly teach & improve.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) 2 ground outs and a K. Parker gets the side in order on 14 pitches. 14 pitches isn't too bad. At least it wasn't a 5 or 6 pitch inning.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 01:58 PM) 1.) Who cares? He f***ed with fans' psyches enough himself that I don't care if his psyche gets f***ed with. Kudos to Robin for single-handedly ending his chance at a 12-game hit streak. I can't believe a guy has a decent April on here and all the Rios love. Let's see his numbers/boneheaded plays as the season progresses. Well I root for the White Sox to win ballgames, and they need Alex Rios to produce for that to happen, so that's why I'm hoping it doesn't bother him. I did agree with Robin's decision. Obviously you'd rather watch Rios suck hard then see the White Sox win baseball games with him, but that's your own business & agenda.
  12. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) Rayvonte Rice will be a bust at Illinois. He's just another me first player so he should fit in there. He left Drake to try and get to the NBA even though they would have had a real solid team next year with him. Well he can't be any worse than the last MVC transfer, so he has that going for him.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 10:14 AM) Safe to say all the comments about the Bulls having the best record and #1 seed being a fluke are disproved? Until they beat the Heat in the playoffs, it doesn't matter how good their record is.
  14. Montador is still due 2.75 mil a year til 2015. If he can come back healthy and not suck at hockey, that would be huge. It would make it easier to deal with a trade of #2 or #7.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 12:00 PM) 28 funniest facebook comebacks. http://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/the-28-best...book-come-backs Love #10, 16, 19 and 21 That was outstanding.
  16. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 11:21 AM) He's gotta sit out a year right? Unless he gets some kind of exemption? He should apply for the "Weber left the cupboard empty" exemption
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 09:53 AM) Ventura insinuated that Dunn represented the Sox's best chance to tie the game at that time. “You’re looking to tie it up," said Ventura, who also had A.J. Pierzynski on the bench. "That was probably our best shot at tying it up, and that was the only reason for that.” I can't argue with that at all... Dunn gave the team the best chance for an instant tie ball game. I agree. Hopefully it doesn't f*** with Rios's psyche and put him in a slump. Mental toughness doesn't appear to be his strong suit.
  18. QUOTE (RME JICO @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 09:51 PM) His OPS is .617 after another 0-4 night. I would not consider this similar to anything; that is almost 140 pts lower than his worst month last year. Now up to 69 ABs, 0 HRs, and still 4 RBI. Also, 0-15 in his last 4 games. Touche. Last year it was only this bad until about April 13-14.

  21. QUOTE (SnB @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 03:37 PM) Ha, I thought the same thing about grandstand when I first walked in. They're going to get crushed. The store is beautiful and has TONS of cool stuff, but as others mentioned, it's just too pricey. You can find the same stuff for cheaper online. Even in today's age of internet, you would be suprised how many people will spend the money on gear at the ballpark. At Blackhawks games, the store is absolutely packed at every game buying all kinds of merchandise, and it's also overpriced.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 02:47 PM) Oh, and the U.S. testing process for BSE is a horrific joke. It's the same entirely private, voluntary testing BS that gets used whenever an industry doesn't actually want to test for something, and they use the government to make sure that no producer can actually perform the more stringent tests required internationally. It's seriously jsut a matter of luck that BSE hasn't had a chance to really explode in the U.S., and someday it probably will do so if the US doesn't improve tis testing regime. It's funny you say that on a MLB message board.
