  1. Rays win. Cabrera/Fielder/Peralta mowed down by the ever powerful closer Fernando Rodney.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) Look at the lineup the Cards used today for a "Sunday lineup" Wow, 2nd/3rd/4th best hitters all on the bench. And they lost.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 02:25 PM) But then you're undermanned every single game. What hurts you more, being down 1 person 3 games in a row, or being down 3 people in 1 game? If you work matchup factors into the 3 games, then I'd say 3 people in 1 game hurts more. Find certain days/matchups to give your best players rest, not all of them on the same day like some managers tend to do.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 01:42 PM) http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,0,766148.story Good deal. Briggs gets overshadowed by Urlacher, but he's a damn good LB in his own right too.
  5. The whole Sunday lineup idea really baffles me. Instead of having your lineup at 50% on Sunday, and 100% Fri/Sat, how about giving guys rest throughout the series and keep the lineup at 85/90% the whole time. Every game counts the same.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 11:05 AM) Given that news, I think you have to deal off Forte for a 2nd or 3rd round pick and then draft a back in the 2nd round to spell Bush. The Bears can't afford to pay Matt, and even if they could, I wouldn't want them to do so. f*** that. Call his bluff, he won't sit out the season, not with a $7.7 million salary coming his way.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 01:14 PM) Ohman gets used properly and does his job. Exactly as I was about to post.
  8. Danks with more run support today than he had in any start last year.
  9. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 11:39 AM) i just do not understand how people project us to be worse than Cleveland and Minnesota. Neither can hit OR pitch. Our rotation is rock-solid, and if we even get a decent bounceback from Dunn, we've got a relatively potent lineup That's what I have been saying all off-season. This is no 90+ win team, but last place & 95 losses in this divsion? No way. For all the Royals hype too, their current rotation is pretty questionable.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2012 -> 10:08 AM) I'd gladly have this game ppd if it means missing Masterson. However, weather seems to be ok in Cleveland today. Good call!
  11. Nobody is saying differently, so I guess it's time to play ball! Maybe 1000 people in the stands.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 10:44 PM) I do not pretend to be a scout. All I know is the video I saw of Molina showed him as a soft tossing meatball artist. I hope he succeeds but those of you who have seen highlights ... his pitches are slowwwwwww. So what? Your favorite pitcher in the whole wide world is a soft tosser.
  13. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) Arkansas is in a really tough situation right now. With a stud QB/RB and LSU/Bama at home, this could have been a huge year for them. Now, who are they going to get this late in the process? Ron Zook
  14. The Simpsons live in Springfield, Oregon.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) No one ever said Derrick Rose is a smart person. I would say he is the exact opposite. Well he did do well enough on his SAT to get into Memphis...
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 02:43 PM) I'd rather they flip-flop Beckham and Rios In this lineup that is true. I was thinking more to the future when De Aza leads off
  17. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 01:53 PM) Today is a must win, assuming that Masterson pitches tomorrow. As long as Danks pitches well, the Sox can come back & win against Perez tomorrow
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 02:22 PM) Chicago White Sox ‏ @whitesox Today's #WhiteSox lineup at CLE: Beckham-4, Rios-9, Dunn-DH, Konerko-3, Fukudome-8, Ramirez-6, Viciedo-7, Flowers-2, Morel-5, Humber-RHP Whoa. That lineup is confusing on the eyes. Rios in the 2-spot is intriguing
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 10, 2012 -> 12:09 PM) Why arent the Bulls in on Lamar Odom? He's not eligible to play in the playoffs for any other team.
