  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 06:19 PM) Outside of a 30 game stretch in 2010, one could argue the last three years have been rock-bottom. And the chances of Mark being traded IF he resigns with the Sox are zero. You call that rock-bottom? I'd hate to see what adjectives you use to describe what's been going on in KC & Pittsburgh the last 25 years, or the last 10 in Baltimore.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 03:46 PM) I bet Mathieu doesn't even get invited to New York. Heisman finalists are Luck, Richardson, Griffin, Mathieu, & Ball. In other news, I'm an idiot, lol.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 03:48 PM) My vote would be Montee Ball, it takes alot to do what he's done this season, and somewhat quietly. This is an O-line that graduated 3 NFL starters. That's who I think SHOULD win it too. He has the 2nd most TDs in a season in D-1 history, just behind Barry Sanders. Wisconsin's two losses will probably hurt him though. I think Richardson ends up winning it, with Griffin second, Ball 3rd, followed by Luck & Moore.
  4. QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) Heisman anyone? Haven't really heard enough about it, but it's the closest race I can remember. To me, it comes down to Griffin and Mathieu. I bet Mathieu doesn't even get invited to New York.
  5. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 02:59 PM) Favre and McNabb don't know the system. You wouldn't get 5 weeks out of them. Caleb Hanie knows the system and that has done him no good anyway
  6. I don't think it's a coincidence he was voted in right after his death. It's one thing to have fans/supporters campaign for your candidacy. But as much as he whined and complained about not getting in, I'm sure some voters didn't vote for him out of spite.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 12:37 PM) Say what you will, but if they sign Buehrle or Wilson, they're a legitimate player in the NL next year. They have the funniest manager in baseball, they are always legitimate players. To be serious, I agree with you. That would be a pretty solid 1 through 4 in their starting rotation J. Johnson Nolasco Sanchez MB/Wilson
  8. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 12:05 PM) The number of people I've personally talked to that didn't see the Dexter "twist" or the Boardwalk Empire incest coming is staggeringly large. How could you not see that coming? Their weird relationship has been alluded to in nearly every episode. The season finale should be interesting, it seems like there are a whole lot of loose ends to tie up in an hour's time.
  9. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 5, 2011 -> 11:51 AM) Looking better than Caleb Hanie is really saying much. Yates completed 48% of his passes for 188 yards. Not exactly tearing it up. And Yates also had a top 5 receiver to throw the ball to for 97 of those yards (until he got hurt again)

    i am drunk

I spent 3 hours at Soldier Field today ,watching "football". What the f***....red wine is my friend
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 03:33 PM) Awesome. I was positive they would come down. Thankfully the NFL is much tougher than MLB. It seems like baseball gives longer suspensions just so they can lower them come appeal time.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 03:10 PM) That's kind of silly since you know he's just going to wind up miserable in suburbia each time. I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce, I got egg noodles and ketchup
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 02:56 PM) Whoa, lets see how much its' for before signing on to that statement. $18 million, $9 mil guaranteed
  14. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 11:46 AM) They're all bad people. Henry Hill could be on the list himself. On top of that, I don't know how anyone could describe him as anything but a villain. He was an uncontrollable, remorseless killer. That makes sense, they obviously were bad people. I guess that when I made my list, I looked at it more as people that I rooted against in the movie/book as villains, not necesarily villanous people in general.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 2, 2011 -> 11:30 AM) Tommy DeVito, another one BigEd and I share. How was he a villain? I saw him on "villain" lists I googled, but I didn't vote for him because I don't think of him as a villain in the movie, he's friends with Henry Hill. I felt bad when he was killed, like the mob bosses were the villains.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 1, 2011 -> 10:07 PM) I really don't want to watch Stewart start next year I really don't want to watch Rios bat next year, but what are you gonna do?
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 1, 2011 -> 07:25 PM) The question really for the Bears is if they want McNabb even as a back up. The Cowboys dont want McNabb to start, they just dont want to only have Kitna if Romo goes down. Yup, McNabb wouldnt replace Hanie, he would only be a backup. If they picked him up, it would mean Josh McNown has been awful in practice, and you can't trust Nathan Enderle to get you in the playoffs.
  18. QUOTE (Greyone @ Dec 1, 2011 -> 03:05 PM) Just a question, can they still block the Bears now, they are the division leader while the Bears are a second place team. I would think now the Bears come before them, but I'm just speculating. Last week they could because the Bears were one game ahead of them.'m not so sure this week. I believe division standing has nothing to do with it, only overall record matters. They have the same record, but the Bears have a tougher strength of schedule, which makes them the "better" team, therefore the Cowboys can pick before the Bears.
  19. CP3 says he won't sign an extension with NO, and he wants to play for the Knicks. Wasn't the lockout supposed to help prevent stuff like this from happening?
  20. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Dec 1, 2011 -> 01:52 PM) You're right, it's more likely that one will go and the other will stay. I'd guess Floyd stays, but who knows. Do you give Gavin the opening day start over Peavy? Of course. Pitchers on the DL aren't eligible to start opening day.
  21. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 1, 2011 -> 12:54 PM) From Rotoworld: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Vikings are set to release QB Donovan McNabb on Thursday. Bears?
  22. Kane back at winger at practice today with #19 & Stalberg Kruger centering the 2nd line with Hossa & Sharpie
  23. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 1, 2011 -> 09:43 AM) The cubs would have had a two day prelude to the presser to announce this. I saw Marco Paddy at the Starbucks on the IIT campus this morning! OMG!
