People use that as a "oh! 2 NFC championship games, must be a great coach." People were screaming for him and Angelo to be fired after the 2009 season. All that s*** got forgotten real quick once he took an average team to the NFC championship game, which IMO, was a fluke. Rex Grossman is an abnormal quarterback, they are lucky the offense scored at all.

It's hard to comment on the wild card stuff until they announce the actual format. I see nothing wrong with the playoffs currently though, other than the 1st round being only best of 5. With 15-15 in each league, that means interleague every weekend, huh? That could be interesting.

My excitement for the off-season is a 7. I feel like there will be some moving & shaking with the roster, and I can't wait to see how it breaks down. For the actual 2012 season, I'm at about a 2.5 right now. They aren't gonna add a Pujols/Reyes type player, and the hoping for turnaround seasons from Dunn/Rios/Beckham worries me now.
