  1. Like who? Name a team. I think we have gone over the list before, and there are few, if any teams that could use him.
  2. Beavis & Butt-Head!!!!!
  3. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 27, 2011 -> 08:55 AM) Didn't Harris start last week? Yup, but that was because Major Wright was injured. He should be healthy after the bye, so Harris was headed back to the bench.
  4. BradBiggs Brad Biggs #Bears have released veteran safety Chris Harris, per @vxmcclure23 I wish it was Brandon Meriweather instead.
  5. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 04:07 PM) I left it off my list as well. I basically put my list in order by how likely it would be that I would stop and watch it if I found it on TV while channel surfing. I actually saw it on TV the other day. I watched it for a few minutes and realized it's actually a pretty boring movie. I kind of did the same. I ranked them by how much I enjoyed watching the movie, not necessarily which one was the best. That's how I can justify ranking White Men Can't Jump over Raging Bull.
  6. I stand by what I said last night... (after several Busch lights at kickball)
  7. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 03:05 PM) Why wouldn't it be on your lists, though? I mean, even I voted for it despite hating Notre Dame. Why would it be on my list? It's been a while since I've seen it, but if it came up on cable I wouldn't even think about turning it on. It's a great story, good for the kid, but the movie itself was nothing special at all to me.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) interesting stat correlating recruiting with winning titles: In the Past 9 years from 2002 to 2011 here are the top 21 teams ranked by how many top 100 signings they had: 1. Duke (34) 2. North Carolina (30) T-3. Kansas (27) T-3. Kentucky (27) T-5. Arizona (25) T-5. Connecticut (25) T-5. Florida (25) T-5. Syracuse (25) T-9. Louisville (24) T-9. Texas (24) T-9. UCLA (24) T-12. Memphis (23) T-12. Michigan State (23) T-12. Ohio State (23) T-15. Florida State (20) T-15. Illinois (20) 17. Villanova (19) 18. Georgetown (18) T-19. Alabama (17) T-19. Georgia Tech (17) T-19. Indiana (17) The top 8 teams on the list have won the last 9 championships. If you look at all 21 teams, 17 made at least one Final Four between 2003 and 2011, and the group is responsible for 28 of the 36 Final Four slots in those years. The question is, does top 100 recruiting guarantee success or does success guarantee top 100 recruiting? Weber can't recruit!!!!
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 10:39 PM) If it goes 7, this really, really helps the Cards. Well, duh. The only other option is 6 games, and then the Cards season would be over.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 09:41 PM) Let's face it, we all love Robin Ventura and would love nothing better than to win and win big next season, but this managerial choice was a total joke. A farce. Who knows why KW did it? For attendance? Managers can get a team headlines if they say bizarre stuff, but I doubt the mere presence of Robin will draw fans. Maybe it'll prevent almost all the season tix holders from dumping their season tickets, though. It's a nice gesture, but a farce of a transaction. Maybe they did figure almost all season tix holders would at least renew cause of the likeable Robin managing the team. Definitely. They should have kept Ozzie. He is so funny. lol!
  11. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 04:35 PM) Is Thad the gayest name ever? I propose that it is. Herbert?
  12. Wow, that's impressive. Dare I say Theo-esque??? Congrats Addison.
  13. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 12:47 PM) Does anyone doubt that Rudy will be #1? It's definitely NOT on my list
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 11:18 AM) And I glad to see other people liked White Men Can't Jump as much as I did. I love the opening scene of that movie. Hell yeah. Love that movie. "Foods that start with the letter Q"
  15. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 26, 2011 -> 08:30 AM) After a hit on Selanne he engaged with him, kept chirping him well behind the play like he wanted him to fight. Then kept getting into it on the benches with Parros and Getzlaf when they didn't like it for obvious reasons. I was hoping Parros would give Carcillo a shot or two to shut him up. Gotta give Carcillo some credit though, he did a great job of clearing out the middle on Kaner's highlight assist.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 04:42 PM) OzzieGuillen Ozzie Guillen Millar nice shirt lol my god awesome lol only u can do that lol Steve9347 Steve H. @OzzieGuillen lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol. oh, and lol lol!
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 02:52 PM) GordonEdes Gordon Edes by mlbtraderumors Tommy John surgery for Lackey That could be a blessing in disguise for Boston. If he was healthy, you probably had to pitch him every five days. Now you can throw someone else out there in his spot. Plus, Theo brought together that minor league system, the guy they call up will probably no-hit the Yankees. Twice.
  18. April 6, 2008. Blackhawks lose 4-1 at Joe Louis, White Sox destroy Verlander 13-2 at Comerica. I recall that baseball game being on ESPN Sunday night, Swisher led the game off with a homer.
  19. I don't always drink beer while I coach MLB hitting, but when I do, I drink Big Hurt beer.
  20. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) she might be posing for playboy Supposedly they are offering her between $750k-$1mil. Are there enough people still interested in her to make that money worthwhile? I'm sure pics will get leaked to the intrawebs anyway.
  21. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 12:45 PM) Right, but the criteria is two teams, playing two teams from the same city and in the same city. The Bears may have had a home game the same day as 2005 WS Game 2, but it wasn't against the Houston Texans. I see, my bad. That game was definitely against the Baltimore Ravens.
  22. I'm pretty sure the Bears had a home game the same day as 2005 WS Game 2.
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 12:00 PM) He leads the team in TD receptions and is tied for second in total reception for WR's. He's not exactly dog food. Bennett is obviously missed and Dane should be taking a seat, but I would rather have him there in the slot and put EB on the outside instead of Devin drops alot. That says more about the quality of the other WRs than it does about Sanzenbacher.
  24. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 12:06 PM) This is what I don't get. Who gives a f*** about what Cubs fans think. They needed a GM (I know he's technically the team president. But he'll have a major influence regardless) and they got arguably the best the sport had to offer of the last 10 years. As of right now, there's just no downside here. I'll argue that he's not the best GM the sport has had to offer. He is the only one who has won 2 World Series since 04, that is true. But he did inherit a lot of the first championship team, the two best hitters were proven to be roided up, he's had the 2nd highest payroll in baseball, and his last two teams have crashed & burned even with that high payroll. I think it is a smart hire by the Cubs, but the hype surrounding it is absolutely ridiculous.
  25. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 10:35 AM) Still better than Louis and Omiyale No doubt. Just thinking that expectations for that first game may need to be a bit lowered.
