  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 08:50 AM) Up All Night is just solid every week. It also gives me a weekly dose of Will Arnett, which is a dream come true. They seemed to be trying too hard for laughs in the first two episodes that I couldn't handle it and gave up.
  2. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 07:55 AM) Fail! Only a half-fail...he did hit the over!
  3. Great defensive play by Sir Albert. Gave up the out at first to get the lead runner at 3rd.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 05:26 PM) Leyland said Verlander is not available tomorrow. We will see about that. His 2nd best setup guy has been awful this series, if Fister doesn't last long he may need someone in those middle innings.
  5. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 12:46 PM) I was just down there this weekend wearing a white sox cap. They all could not believe we let such a great young manager go. Did a guy named greg randomly interview you about the White Sox?
  6. Nice work J4L. That is classic.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 5, 2011 -> 07:52 AM) No, that was Fister. And he's starting game 5. He put up Cy-like numbers after getting traded to DET, but never faced a lineup like the Yankess in that stretch either.
  8. So the Yankees whole season comes down to A.J. Burnett & his 5.15 ERA, 1.43 WHIP.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 06:12 PM) Some would call this a pitchers duel Ben Francisco begs to differ. So many tough bats in the lineup and he's the one who beats you, ouch.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) Adrian Beltre is some kinda player. Have the Rangers, like, done anything wrong since Nolan Ryan became team president? Other than giving Chris Davis way too many ABs in the majors, no. You look at moves like Colby Lewis, who was pitching in Japan or finding Alexi Ogando after his visa issues. Very impressive. Still gotta give the Rays major props too. With their low payroll & lack of any fan support (not even a sellout today), it is very impressive that they have made the playoffs 3 times in 4 seasons while competing with NYY & BOS.
  11. Early line predictions from Jesse Rogers (ESPN Chicago) & from practice today: Sharp/Toews/Saad Brunette/Kane/Hossa Bickell/Bolland/Frolik Mayers/Smith/Olesz Keith/Leddy Hammer/Seabrook Montador/Scott ODonnell/Lepisto
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 03:24 PM) Will they pitch to Beltre in his next AB? With runners on 1st & 2nd, two out, I think they may have too! Or do you move the runners & load the bases for Napoli?
  13. Hawks agree to a contract with 2nd round pick Brandon Saad, 18, so he will probably start the season with the big club.. He is too young to play for Rockford. He can play up to 9 games with the Hawks and still be sent back to his junior team, if he plays more than that, he is on the roster for the whole season.
  14. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) Haven't you seen Hoosiers, the movie? The people in that are way crazier than those in Varsity Blues. I don't remember any whip cream bikinis in Hoosiers.
  15. Beltre with 2 homers, 3-1 Texas. 18 outs away from the start of the Dave Martinez era???
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 12:46 PM) People can read them if they want. LOL, I already found this gem from JHood. Hernandez had quite the impression on everyone. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 12:38 PM) Just wanted to give you guys a little info. JHood recently plugged his new show on his Facebook account and I wrote him to say i wouldnt listen since I refuse to support any Mike North endeavor. He wrote this back to me: QUOTE Jason, Mike North is a minority owner in my new venture. My supervisor is actually David Hernandez, who is a great guy to work with. I don't think your dislike for Mike should stop what could be fun listening habits for you. I would love your support. Bless you and have a great day. J~
  17. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 11:13 AM) I'm not sure what people have against the Tigers (except Valverde). They played the right way. They were just decent, but saw their opportunity and made some key additions to the team in-season. They're not the Twins that perennially piss on us or the Indians with their terrible fans. I have no problem whatsoever rooting for the Tigers. They play in Detroit
  18. QUOTE (oldsox @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 09:43 AM) This out of towner does not get this. Please explain. He started an online sports talk show with this guy as his financial backing.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 07:43 AM) A 26 year old leadoff hitter who put up a .360 OBP and a .753 OPS, while being 40/51 (just under 80%) stolen bases? I'd give that a good number of at bats too. That's like Florida Juan Pierre, not a bad player to have lead off in the NL.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 3, 2011 -> 08:06 PM) Huh? Nobody can talk to him while they're still playing. Doesn't matter when they lose. The longer they have to wait, they may be more tempted to just hire someone else.
  21. I say the headline "Chris Sale to be Moved" and freaked out that they were trading him already.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 12:27 PM) Managerial candidates. Non-2005 MLB playoff single games. 2003 NLCS Game 6 would have to be the favorite to win
