  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 11:38 PM) I just hope u guys rip the new manager when he plays Dunn/Rios all year as Ozzie did. Maybe KW will someday get as much blame for, uh, signing those 2 lousy players? I don't why I'm getting involved, but here I go. 1) Dunn/Rios will start everyday next year with a different manager but I guarantee they will be out of the lineup way quicker than Ozzie pulled them if they suck 2) Who on this website has not blamed Kenny for those signings? Everyone says those are bad signings, especially the Rios claim. Do you avoid the Jackson/Hudson threads, cause those are filled with expletives towards KW?
  2. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 06:34 PM) Mark Reynolds, without looking up any advanced stats, had to have been far from one of the worst players ever. A .200-.220 average can be acceptable when you hit 32-42 homers. Not when you hit 12 with a .165 avg
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 11:34 PM) The Rays blow! Oh, well. Just go sweep 4 in Boston now. And Matt Wieters is going to explode next year. Mark my words. Way to go out on a limb
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 07:47 PM) I am extremely disappointed in above mentioned leaked nudes. She's got a nice caboose, but overall the pics don't offer much.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 04:12 PM) Awful news. Any news on how? Unexpectdly from natural causes is what I read. Awful news, all the best wishes to the Urlacher fam.
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 04:38 PM) Along with Willie Harris, Geoff Blum, Timo Perez, Shingo Takatsu, Dustin Hermanson, Cliff Politte, Neal Cotts, and Chris Widger. The Widge-inator!!!! That 3-run bomb off the Big Unit in 2005 was awesome!
  7. Jays win, big game for the Rays tonight. Daniel Bard has some fancy stats and peripherals, but he is now 2-8 with 5 blown saves, including 3 L & 2 BS in his last 3 appearances. I'd hate to see what the Sawx board is saying about him right now.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 10:10 AM) Yeah but I want them to get a top 3 guy, and then a few others. It would be awesome for DePaul to be good. Stop playing at the Allstate Arena
  9. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 09:56 AM) But that one was oh, so sweet. Does anyone else think it would be cool if Rivera got just one more save this season and retired so that he and Hoffman would be tied? I respect both highly and it would just be the coolest ending to me. I think that would be awful cause Mariano >>>>>> Hoffman as a pitcher.
  10. I feel bad for her, but I don't see anything wrong with evicting her. Her son hasn't paid the mortgage in years and was given a forclosure notice ten months ago. What the f*** did he think was gonna happen? He is the problem.
  11. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 11:09 PM) Parenthood returned tonight, good show My wife is all about that show, so I usually catch most of the episodes. It is a solid show, some of those emotional plotlines can get intense.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 08:43 AM) ESPNChiSox Doug Padilla Oz, when asked about Morel walking more: "I'd be the last one to talk about walks. I was swinging at everything from Day 1 to the last day." Ozzie never met a letter high fastball he didn't like
  13. If something happens and he can't make it back, Saints (-7) will start looking like a great bet. Wish him all the best.
  14. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 10:28 PM) We already know they're bringing back fan favorite, Joe Crede. It's just another depressing sign that they're clinging on to the past in order to cover up the joke they've become. Because no other baseball team in the majors brings back old players to offseason gatherings. What a joke.
  15. Rivera's postseason numbers: 8-1, 0.71 ERA, 139.2 IP, 2 homers, 21 BB, 109 K
  16. I ended up watching the Entourage finale last night...
  17. Matt Wieters with a huge homer in the 8th. Rays are gonna need to rally against Kevin Gregg or it's back to 4 games
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 07:58 PM) How is that a comeback? You read my mind Balta. What did Gordon come back from? Being bad? Also, this is Morse's full season in the majors, his injuries were back in the minor league days, I don't think that's much of a comeback.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 06:55 PM) I f***ing hate Brandon Morrow. Some of the sickest stuff in the league and he perpetually underachieves. And the Rays are being stymied by Alfredo Simon. Strikeouts & sabermetrics can only help you so much, at some point you have to do something to stop giving up runs. Blue Jays will get the lead back, no way Wakefield wins #200.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 05:41 PM) Agree with you here. In the past with the Twins you always had this 'What the f***? How did we let these guys get the best of us again?" type of feeling. Detroit has left no doubt that they are the class of this division. Best pitcher and position player in the division by far; extremely underrated supporting cast. It does make it a little easier to stomach for me. If they had won the division with 85 or 86 wins, it would annoy me so much, cause the Sox would have been capable of that with anything from Dunn. But even with his standard 40-homer season, I don't think this team wins over 90, which is where DET is headed.
  21. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 06:36 PM) And Ozzie Guillen has not lost this team? I don't think he has necessarily "lost" this team. They aren't at .500 because of lack of effort (except for Rios) or because of resentment towards the manager. It's a combination of bad managerial lineup decisions, extreme underacheiving & lack of development, and a few bad personnel moves by the GM. The team did mail it in the night after the blown 7-run lead in DET, but I think most teams would have considering the circumstances.
  22. I think I've been convinced to not watch the Entourage finale. Unless you tell me that E gets deported, physically beat up by Sloan, or something similarily bad.
  23. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 04:29 PM) We're going to get raped, again. The Tigers own us, hard. It's not rape when you let it happen
  24. It must be a Russian thing, it reminds of me the billionaire Nets owner and his personal
