  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 08:02 AM) Win 1 and you fall farther back and get a pointless trophy. How dare you speak this blasphemy about the BP CUP!!!!
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 07:15 AM) f*** the Cubs
  3. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 08:42 PM) Two guys I'm hoping to see the Hawks sign tomorrow are Cole and Madden. DarrenDreger Darren Dreger Canes can't reach agreement with Cole after 3 days of talk. Sounds like he's going to market but willing to give Car last look.
  4. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 06:16 PM) The new Eminem & Royce Da 5'9" EP is very impressive. As you'd expect anything else from these two reuniting. Just bought it. Didn't realize it had come out, I don't listen to much hip hop anymore, but I know those two together get it done.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 09:35 PM) Viciedo went yard again tonight. No room for him on this roster though. I guarantee he would outperform the Sox present day DH
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 10:21 PM) Lord of the Rings 2/3. Harry Potter anything. have never seen any version of either of these movies and have zero urge to
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 09:53 PM) I am 4 for 5 in gamethreads. Cool as Ice
  8. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 10:02 PM) Really? I actually that Peavy was pretty bad out there. One great thing about Peavy is his ability to battle through a game without having his stuff, which was clearly evident today. Fastball lacked velocity today as he sat around 88-91 mph. Alot of off speed pitches used to offset the ineffectiveness of the heater. Don't know why he was trying to put Tulo away using his 91 mph fastball rather than his slider. Not the worst start by any means but could have been worse with the garbage he had today. I was at work, so I didn't actually watch it. I was more commenting on the performance, not the actual pitches he threw. He has historically struggled at Coors Field, and other than the 12-pitch at-bat to Tulo, he survived and kept him team in it. I wasn't saying he had his best stuff, I just thought he had a solid start all things considered.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 12:52 PM) It's ok. I actually used to be a huge Ryan Reynolds fan when he just stuck to comedies. Van Wilder, Waiting, Just Friends... he's hilarious in those. He's even money in romcoms... I can't take him seriously as an actor, though, and certainly not as Hal Jordan or the bad dad in Amityville Horror. I will say this, though, the content on Grantland isn't as top-notch as I'm used to with Simmons. He's clearly trying to churn out too much of it to get the site going. I found the Ryan Reynolds/Will Smith article great, but overall I agree about Grantland. I don't even click on some of the articles, just because it's a topic that I don't want to read about, that they are writing just to write and fill up space. Adventureland was a solid movie, but it doesn't even belong in a discussion with Dazed & Confused.
  10. Gotta love Jasmine "b****, don't mess with me. You are gonna end up getting cut, I'm from Houston!"
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 07:33 PM) Today was a classic one bad pitch that the player really really earned. Like a 12 pitch at bat earned a long tulo HR. I was about to post a similar comment. Despite the 4 runs, I thought Peavy had a great start. He just had one tough battle with one of the best hitters in the league and Tulo got the best of him. It happens, and he only gave up one run after that.
  12. Welcome to Chicago Montador. Be prepared to carry the Stanley Cup in June.
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 08:39 PM) I hate Valverde's bulls*** routine when he gets a save. What a f***ing clown. When he did it for Arizona vs the Cubs in the playoffs, I loved it. Not so much anymore.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 04:40 PM) Sox going to face Lopez instead now? Right now there is talk of either 35-year old Lopez or 38-year old Ramon Ortiz. s***, with the BP Cup on the line, how could you not pitch Dempster on 3 days rest. It's the BP Cup for Gods sake!
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:54 PM) Back to 2 games under, 4 games back. LOL, what a crappy division. Just get to the playoffs.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 11:02 AM) Aaron Cook is brutal, and unlike past pitchers who suck and the Sox get them on track, he's a RHP. Sox 6-4. Nice guess
  17. So much for the worst lineup in MLB history... Juan f***ing Pierre!!!!
  18. Edwin Jackson vs. Randy Wells in the heat? Bet the over
