  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 08:52 PM) Sox need Viciedo to provide some offense against LHP How is he supposed to do that from Charlotte?
  2. LUUUUUONNNNNNNGO!! LUUUUUUUUONNNNNGO!!!! 11-1 Bruins in the last four periods since the Horton hit.
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 07:39 PM) Going by expectations, production, and money, is Figgins the worse player in baseball, or is Dunn? Dan Uggla?
  4. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 07:11 PM) Come on Ogondo, we need ya tonight buddy! Not a good start...
  5. QUOTE (Bighurt52235 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 07:04 PM) Pretty gross number for Mariners DH Mike Carp in AAA this year. .358, 19 HRs, 58 RBI, slugging over .600. As bad as their lineup is, I can't believe it took them so long to call him up.
  6. Luis #64? Who is that? A coach? And why would someone pay $119.99 for his game worn jersey?
  7. I think the whole vacating titles thing is kind of stupid, but I would be extremely amused if they vacated OSU's Sugar Bowl win last year. Tressel saw the writing on the wall so he went with the 5-game suspension for the meaningless 2011 games, so his top players can play in the BCS game.
  8. QUOTE (supernuke @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) Winnipeg has a new GM but still no name. Can Cheveldayoff bring Toews with him. You guy don't really want him anyway right? No, but we have this awesome goalie with tons of experience hanging out in Switzerland right now. You can have him, nothing in return, just pay the contract.
  9. Sox lineup: Pierre - LF Ramirez - SS Quentin - DH Konerko - 1B Rios - CF Lillibridge - RF Castro - C Beckham - 2B Morel - 3B Floyd - RHP
  10. Matt Capps proves again why the W stat is overrated.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) Mike Piazza was a 62nd round pick. So then why did they cut it down to 50 rounds? What if the next Mike Piazza slipped through the cracks?
  12. Question...Why is the MLB draft so many rounds? Is it just to provide depth for your rookie leagues and A ball? How many of these super late draft pick even play pro at all? 50 rounds just seems like a lot.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 01:50 PM) This is a whole to do about nothing and I actually was pretty impressed with Colt's wife. She was very poised. Not sure why she called but she was good on the show and it was a great listen to. I bet the interview would have been even better on TV...
  14. Pryor will not return for senior year, will try to enter NFL Supplemental draft...
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 04:29 PM) True. I only harp on the loss column when people say we are six out. Why do people bring that up as well if it's so early? When you mention the loss column, it makes the assumption that the Indians will win the 4 games less they have played than the Sox. That's why people say 6 games back.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 03:32 PM) White Sox 14th rounder: Mark Ginther, 3B, Oklahoma State. 6-3, 200 pound junior. Robin Ventura or Josh Fields?
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 01:39 PM) Watching the team make out after out with runners in scoring position with less than two outs would drive anybody crazy. How you retain the optimism is great, but I can't do that right now. You give the team a grade to this date, please. It's a D. With RISP, the Sox are 12th in baseball in BA, so there's about 18 other teams that would drive you crazy watching, including the Red Sox & Yankees.
  18. Sox lineup career vs. King Felix: Pierre 4-14, 1 2B Vizquel 1-13 Quentin 3-14, 1 2B, 1 HR Konerko 5-21, 1 HR Pierzynski 5-26, 3 2B Lillibridge 0-2 Teahen 3-16, 1 2B Beckham 2-11, 1 2B Morel - N/A Dunn 0-2 Alexei 5-19, 1 2B Rios 4-20 BA 2-9, 2 HRs Kotsay 7-22, 4 2Bs
