  1. As expected, Horton is out for the series, but at least he's out of the hospital. There is zero reason why Rome should be allowed to play in this series again, it's only a potential of 4 games, his suspension should be at least that long. Advantage Canucks, a 3rd pairing D-man for one of the Bruins top scorers.
  2. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 11:17 AM) lol, a couple picks into round 2 and you're giving people A+ grades on drafts that wont even matter for 3 years They usually wait 3 years to judge NFL drafts and those players play right away
  3. Just saw the Thomas hit too, good stuff. Definitely legal, get the f*** out the crease Swede. I know it was only one game, but hopefully they got into Lu's head and can carry the momentum into a game 4 victory. You don't want to step into the Rogers Centre with the Canucks having a chance to win the Cup.
  4. I never thought I'd say this, but I actually think we have a decent chance with Humber facing Felix. He went toe to toe with him last time.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 10:13 PM) Anyone see Mike Morse's line recently? And tonight, another home run and a 2 run double, all off Lincecum in his first two PA's. Is that the same Mike Morse the Sox traded away years ago? Wow. Took him a while to figure it out, he's already 29, although I guess he had injury troubles. Well at least that trade directly helped win a WS, so can't complain too much.
  6. Getting chippy out there, gotta love Lucic jabbing at Burrows then sticking his bare fingers in his face, daring him to bite them.
  7. If you go to the Wikipedia page for Strikeout, there is a picture of Dunn whiffing right at the top of the page
  8. He's only on pace for 209 Ks, Mark Reynolds has actually had two worse seasons than that
  9. Vancouver with a dirty play???? Never. At least this one is definitely suspendable, although they probably knocked out Horton for the series.
  10. WHY DIDN"T CUTLER STAY IN THE GAME??????? DITKA WOULD HAVE PLAYED WITH TWO BROKEN LEGS!!!
  11. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) This Mariner series could be pretty ugly. I could see the Sox WHIP for the series being about 0.50. Probably. Have you seen the Mariners lineup? Both teams WHIP combined may not reach 1.00
  12. I remember when the original HBO Real Sports episode came out, painting him as a financial genius. Oops.
  13. QUOTE (IowanSoxFan @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 03:34 PM) USC stripped of 2004 Nat'l Championship LOL at Wikipedia's BCS Champ. game site: No champion due to NCAA sanctions to USC, by June 6, 2011 decision of the BCS Presidential Oversight Committee. 2004 championship will remain permanently vacant. Cough Cough THEY STILL WON Cough Cough
  14. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) Like to see Danks get that win tonite. All three games are on the Fox NW channel, which I get, but they are the Seattle announcers. You take what you can get though I'd prefer the Mariner announcers over Hawk these days
  15. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 10:48 PM) Slightest pain? Seriously? Did you even read the article? Unbelievable. I assume you didn't, so I'll quote him: "(After that) I couldn't throw one ball where it was supposed be thrown," Peavy said. I prefer the type of athlete that puts the team before himself. He said he couldn't f***ing throw a pitch anywhere he wanted. Get the f*** out of the game. I'll take a wild guess which side of the Cutler equation you were on. Well said. That inning when Jake toughed it out cost them the entire game. They outscored DET 3-1 in the other 8 innings, but the 6-spot when Jake couldn't locate anything was the difference. But at least he's tough and he plays injured.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 07:19 AM) I just got done watching an episode of Boy Meets World. God, I love that show. Hellooooo Topanga...
  17. That Fullerton game was awesome, great win! The closer had given up 5 runs in 24 innings all season, and they put up a 3 spot. I didn't stay up for the Stanford game, but I imagined it would end up the way it did. It was awesome to see Illinois baseball somewhat relevant, I don't remember really hearing about them when I was in school. They only finished like 3 games over .500 this year, so it's not like they were a powerhouse either.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 07:53 PM) Didn't Candace Parker miss a portion of the season due to being knocked up? can you blame her? That Shelden Williams is one good looking fellow.
