  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 11:02 PM) Save that Luongo injury that may or may not have happened! Luongo claimed that his back was cramping up but I think his p**** just hurt from the Hawks onslaught. For all you hockey fans, the Nashville/Anaheim series is fun watching. Bobby Ryan just had a sick goal.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 02:35 PM) Excellent analysis. If that doesn't convince you, then nothing will
  3. Fun with numbers: Luongo's career playoff stats vs. Chicago: 7-10, 3.56 GAA, .887 SV % Luongo's career playoff stats vs. everyone else: 13-9, 1.94 GAA, .934 SV%
  4. Brandon Wood claimed by the Pirates. They may stick him at SS in place of Ronny Cedeno
  5. From Rosenthal's Twitter: This from STATS: Scoring rate at 4.31 runs per team per game. April not over, but that would be lowest March-April average since 1992. #MLB
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 12:26 PM) Also, in referrence to another post earlier, I honestly don't even hate the Red Wings that much. I put them in the category of the Twins: A team I have a lot of respect for whom there is no real reason for me to hate other than they're really good and beat my team. I hate teams like the Blues, Canucks, and Pacers a lot more since they're just plain dirty. I agree. I dont like the Wings cause Detroit sucks and I just always have rooted against them. But if the Canucks pull out this series and face Detroit in the conf. finals, I would be rooting for Detroit to sweep those bastards.
  7. QUOTE (since56 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 06:45 PM) Just wondering. Would the Sox have been better off trading Beckham and keeping Chris Getz? Sure. If the Brewers would have offered Rickie Weeks for Beckham.
  8. Skanberg does it again, that cartoon is awesome.
  9. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 12:33 AM) So because his brother his bad at baseball...he won't sign here? What? Also on Hudson, if he continues to suck I don't care how cheap and controllable he was. Bad is bad. Danks won't sign here because he already turned down a contract extension that similar pitchers accepted. Also, the Sox front office won't offer the years that other teams will. (which I don't disagree with) I agree about Hudson. I'm not a big Jackson fan at all, but cheap and controllable is only good if you keep the guy in the rotation for that many years. He never seemed to be considered a top prospect until he was traded. He might turn out to be a decent pitcher still, but I'd rather wait to see it happen than just assume he is.
  10. Sox win and there's barely 120 posts. The losses are usually a few hundred more. Let's keep everyone's post counts down and keep winning!
  11. This thread reminds me of Illini fans during the Deron vs. CP3 discussions. If you dared even think that CP3 might be better, then you were the dumbest person in the world. Just remember what happened when Illinois played Wake Forest. DRose is the bomb and I'd personally prefer him over Paul, but come on, Paul is a beast and he's only 25. Picking him is not some stupid idea.
  12. Good to see the big boys show up today, especially Hossa. I've bad mouthed Keith a lot this year, but he has turned it around the last few games. Crawford quietly just taking care of business, again.
  13. 1. B&B (I enjoy the humor and if you can get past the name-calling, they actually know what they are talking about usually) 2. Waddle & Silvy (Work well together and entertaining) 3. Mully & Hanley (Occasionally funny, somewhat boring, but very informative nontheless) 4. Carmen, Jurko, & Harry (Try too hard to be funny sometimes, not a good mix) 5. Danny Mac Show (I've gotten sick of Mac, just gotten too big and too full of himself IMO. Always about what he's doing or who he knows)
  14. Per everyone's Twitter, Brewers sign Ryan Braun to 5 year, $105 million extension for the years 2016-2020.
  15. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 01:53 PM) So with dunn currently hitting like kotsay, this is basically the same crap offense we had last year Exactly, but at least last year we had the best defensive DH in baseball
  16. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 01:40 PM) Hilarious. It's like you're considering these paid professionals to be children on a little league team. The 4th OF is a child right? There's no way thats an adult.
  17. Someone needs to tell Dan Hudson that baseball games start in the 1st inning, not the 2nd. 4 ERs today and 9 of his 13 given up have been in the 1st.
  18. I had a dream last night that the Sox took a one-run lead in an extra inning game. Santos came in for his first save opportunity and gave up back to back homers. They can't even win in my dreams!
