  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) The point is, losing streaks happen over the course of a season. It is normal. I actually agree with you, it happens in a 162 game season. I was just intrigued by the question and had to look it up.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 02:09 PM) So once in like 15 years. Your 2006 Chicago White Sox had four 4-game losing streaks and none longer.
  3. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 01:59 PM) No matter what anyone says, the thread title is a very real possibility given the current state of this team. Because they are a game up on their toughest competition and a half game back of the next toughest team. I won't worry about CLE & KC til June & July come around and they are still up there.
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 01:59 PM) The SF Giants in the mid to late 90s. 97 Giants worst losing streak was 4 games. In Dusty We Trusty.
  5. pierre lf, beckham 2b, dunn dh. PK 1b, Quentin rf, rios cf, AJ c, ramirez ss, teahen 3b, Danks p
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 11:58 AM) Who all is going to the funeral tonight? I'll be there again tonight. Last hockey game to attend til October, maybe we can get one playoff win this season? I think Scott may take Seabrook's spot on the blue line. I usually don't root for the meathead stuff, but Scott better f***ing find Torres and beat the s*** out of him. He's been pretty much worthless for anything but fighting this season anyway, might as well get one last brawl out of him. You aren't gonna miss him out on the ice and you are already down 3-0 to a better team anyway.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 11:06 AM) It used to be all Bears fans. This era of Peyton Manning has made it about 50/50. The question is, when Peyton Manning leaves and if the Colts can't make the playoffs consistently anymore, will those people stay Colts fans?
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 10:46 AM) The only real "change" was Lilli for Dunn. Castro was in for AJ, but Ozzie does a lot that against tough lefties, so I don't even count that. Other than that, it really was the starters. Castro & Lilli had 2 of the team's 4 hits too.
  9. QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 10:39 AM) Did anyone think we would win with that lineup Ozzie put out there? It looked like a spring training game. You are kidding, right? The Sox were facing one of the toughest lefties in the AL, so Ozzie gave his lefty catcher a day off, as well as his lefty DH who has been in an awful slump since returning from surgery. The play 20 straight games without a day off, you aren't gonna have the regular lineup out there everyday.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 08:54 AM) Unless he found the Fountain of HGH. Along with Asdrubal. I think the kid has talent, but he already has 4 homers, while his career high is 6.
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 08:29 AM) Never said there was anything wrong with thinking Rose > Paul. But my MJ/Reggie Miller analogy was spot on. I know it's been over a decade since we last had a superstar, but let's not act like the virgin geek going to his first strip club (in essence overrating Rose because it's been so long since we've had a player of his caliber). You have a way with analogies
  12. QUOTE (kev211 @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 12:28 AM) Does it matter? You can get a double cheeseburger for a buck every day. and a McChicken. What else do you need?
  13. From April 18 to June 3, the Sox have 30 road games & 13 home games.
  14. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 07:13 AM) The overreactions on this site are hilarious. No one here has any real news, yet everyone is suddenly a team physician with access to private information. STFU and wait a couple hours before you officially quit on Peavy and this team. I agree with the second part, but not the first. With the talent on the roster, this division is still very winnable, no matter how bad they look now. But I think there's nothing wrong to not expect anything from Peavy for the time being. He keeps getting shut down when he appears to make progress. If he only threw 15 pitches yesterday, he won't be ready for April 29. It's one thing to be optimistic in February, but now the season has started and Phil Humber is still gonna be the 5th starter for a while now, so can't keep worrying about Peavy.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 05:10 PM) Reds pitcher Mike Leake was arrested for shoplifting $59.88 worth of clothing from a local Macy's. $425k can only take you so far nowadays, have to get the styling clothes by any means necessary to impress the ladies!
  16. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 04:40 PM) is parking at the uc more expensive because its the playoffs or is it the same? It was the same for Hawks games, so I assume the same would be true for Bulls games.
  17. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 03:54 PM) Sample size much? Yeah, but he's a rookie who is not proven in the major leagues. This sample size is all that we have to work with for him being an everyday starter on a team trying to win a division. So far, it's not good. I am aware of what he has shown in the minors, so I don't want him benched yet, but the early returns aren't very good.
  18. Sox lineup (No Dunn): Pierre lf, Beckham 2b, Quentin dh, Konerko 1b, Rios cf, ramirez ss, Castro c, lillibridge rf, Morel 3b, Jackson p
  19. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 01:03 PM) With the Bulls game on tonight this thread will primarily be.... But hopefully we win. Bulls don't tip off til after 8:30. With the early start time, the Sox game should ending right then.
  20. Sounds like no suspension for Torres. Some kind of technicality because it was behind the net, not certain exactly why. Sounds like BS to me.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 08:07 AM) I meant I think that would work for the Bears. Instead they just renovated the old one with the smallest capacity in the entire league.
