I also enjoyed when Pitino used the Marquette upset as proof as to how tough and deep the Big East is. Barkley just starts yelling that he's wrong, it actually just showed how overrated and overseeded the top Big East teams were. Then he kept saying "Big East should only have 8 teams in! 8 teams!"

Another year of Illinois basketball in the books, another disappointing result. (More so the overall season, not the loss to a far superior opponent) They just couldn't get over that 4-point hump with a big shot when they needed it. And of course, their lack of any strength in the post made stopping the Morris twins impossible. Tisdale & DMac had bad games, but at least the effort was there, which was half the battle this year. The pressure is now on Bill Self, as Illinois will be the only single-digit seed they face before the Final Four. If they don't beat Richmond & VCU/FSU, they locals in Lawrence are not gonna be happy.

If it's a foul with 19 minutes left, then it's a foul with 1 second left. I think you need to call that every time. The Pitt player just made a mistake and got caught in the heat of the moment and should not have touched him. In fact, Dixon probably should have pulled his players off the line to prevent that from happening. It sucks to lose like that, but just don't blatantly foul the opponent in that situation.

I had SDSU in my survivor pool so I'm happy, but that was the worst double OT game I have ever seen in my life.

Well it's nice to see the seniors show that they care a little bit. If they played like today all year, they would be a 4 seed, not a 9. I don't think they will beat Kansas, but man is the bracket set up nicely if they can pull it off. Jerrance Howard needs to spend the next two days recruiting Ali Farokhmanesh.
