  1. Good to see Bobby defend his teammates but still even if you did throw it with intention DON'T ADMIT IT!
  2. QUOTE (Wanne @ May 8, 2009 -> 11:36 PM) How I see it...it's got to boil down to Poreda (which I'm not really in favor of)...or dial up Pedro. I agree we should prob. give poreda a shot. That being said I think it's going to be clayton and count will take his place in the bullpen.
  3. Definiton of a stopper: Mark Buehrle!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. you know I still remember back like two years ago when lance dominated the royals for like a three hitter at the end of the year and I was so sure that he was going to be legit. but well yeah that didn't work out too well
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 5, 2009 -> 09:45 PM) Again, what are you basing this on? Alexi hasn't even shown to be capable of playing an above average SS. So moving him to the most demanding OF position is supposed to accomplish something? And Beckham isn't exactly tearing up AA right now (and his D appears to need quite a bit of work). Our offense is what it is. We see this every year. Our best bet is to hope the pitching can hold it down until the summer months get here and the balls start flying out of the park. I do agree that beckham does need work on defence cause I think he has like 7 errors or something already in the minors. my point about alexei moving to center was that if your going to move him eventually then you mine as well just do it now before he becomes entrenched in the postition. what pisses me off about the situation is that no one seems to be planning ahead, like I said before where is beckham going to go if and when he does come up? hopefully the pitching does straighten itself out b/c other than buehrle no one is looking too hot right now.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 5, 2009 -> 09:31 PM) Bringing Beckham up right now would solve absolutely none of the many issues this team has. And I'm gonna barf the next time somebody says we should move Alexi to CF. I think this would hopefully jumpstart an inconsistent offense and moving lexei to center could solve our center field issue as well and hopefully the change will effect his hitting in a positive way too. I mean if we jump ahead a years time this is still going to be the same issue unless something changes. Alexei is still going to be at short, getz or nix could still be at second. someone is going to have to move eventually to make room for beckham. Indians just brought up laporta and he doesn't have much experience either, I'm a firm believer in the best player should play regardless of age.
  7. Alright we've had this discussion a million times, but right now it really is not a discussion. I feel like I'm watching a minor league team right now. Can anyone honestly tell me Brent Lillibridge is better than Beckham? Move Alexei to center and put Becks at short. I think he can have the same impact Longoria did for the Rays last year. SUCK IT UP OZZIE AND BRING UP BECKHAM!
  8. WE NEED BECKHAM IN OUR LINEUP!!!!! Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself but I think he is a beast. I don't see why he isn't getting more consideration right now for at least 2b, if not shortstop by moving lexi to center. but we do need speed in our lineup. Getz? otherwise its owens or d-weezy
  9. I went to the game today. dayan vicideo is HUGE! he must have been massive before he lost that weight, cause he is a big boy. I'll try and post some pics ltr if someone tells me how to do it.
  10. hey anyone know what time tix go on sale for whitesox.com users on thursday?
  11. Is that date for sure, cause I didn't see any announcement?
  12. Quentin is an emerging superstar, I'd trade him for like Pujols, and Ryan Braun off the top of my mind and that's about it. JARROD WASHBURN?
  13. if the tigers starters can get back to form they can be tough again too with verlander, bonderman, gallaraga, robertson, and the newly acquired edwin jackson. there are a lot of question marks there though. plus they don't have a closer and it doesn't look like they can afford one
