It's great for minor league pace of play. Although I saw Keuchel pitch a month ago in AAA and he did go over the pitch clock once or twice. Some guys will definitely need to adjust, but waiting at least 30 seconds between pitches gets real old.
He had almost no fastball command today and he still ended up throwing 5 shutout innings with 8 Ks.
The only way he doesn't win is if he struggles in his next 4 starts or if Verlander comes back and gets in at least 2 really good starts.
Cease already leads Verlander in bWAR and the inning differential between them may be enough that it doesn't matter how good Verlander's peripherals are.
