  1. Isn't he kind of short for first base too? As evidenced on that ball that got over his head against Oakland.
  2. Yoan just sitting there and looking at pitches right down the pipe.
  3. We just doubled the amount of runs scored off Singer in the past 2 years.
  4. He's out there throwing low 90s. Not good. Also, Lynn seems to give up a lot of hits to rookies.
  5. It'll be interesting to see if the 1 hour delay had any effect on Lynn.
  6. Good Hahn deserves all the criticism from the national media.
  7. Same. The softball fields I play on have outfields that are half dirt. This drought is pretty awful.
  8. It was the hottest July of all time in Austin. I'm sure it was similar in DFW. I was in Arlington earlier last month for Six flags and the parking lot temperature was 115.
  9. I guess the good thing is that we won't have to face Singer more than once through the lineup. Who's available to pitch more than 1 inning? Banks just pitched last night. Maybe Lambert?
  10. That doesn't make sense. How does the run score if the runner doesn't reach home and just jogs back to the dugout?
  11. It'd be pretty shitty if the rain ruins Lance's start when he's actually looking good.
  12. He threw it like 6 times against the Yankees and he still shut them out.
  13. What's the point? He won't be able to play much this year and he'll probably suck. Might as well just try to sign him in the off-season.
  14. Mariners announcer was so shocked at the homer that he called Kelenic Jared Cole.
  15. Brady Singer has given up 2 ER in 22.1 innings against the Sox the past 2 years for a 0.81 ERA. He's also pitching really well right now. We couldn't hit him when he was pitching like shit last year.
  16. It does if you needed some good news after the disaster of a trade deadline yesterday. Can we just go over how badly they handled Robert's injury and rehab? They clearly don't really know what is wrong with him. They sent him to Charlotte to get 5 at bats and get sick. They bring him back to Chicago, reactivate him, and don't even bother playing him. Just typing that made me mad at how incompetent they are.
  17. Grandal is probably part of the veteran leadership.
  18. Well maybe if they played better Hahn would have been more aggressive to improve the team. As is, this team's aspirations are just to win the AL Central and pretty much nothing more. Also, Hahn made it seem like other teams were asking for Montgomery for rentals. That's bullshit. The only top 100 prospects that moved were not for rentals. Only guys like Castillo, Soto, and the package the Marlins got for 2 relievers with control ended up costing top 100 prospects. I'm going to guess the Cubs were asking for a lot for a Happ + reliever package. It's not like they got a ton for Robertson or Givens. Happ not being traded probably means they were asking for a ton for him. Hahn's biggest problem this deadline was that he aimed far too high and didn't address the very basic needs of the team for cheap. You're telling me teams were asking for premium prospects for David Peralta or Tyler Naquin? Bullshit.
  19. Still no Robert. Did they fucking activate him just to distract from the shitty trade deadline? Holy crap.
  20. I don't think you can afford to DH Grandal anymore after Robert comes back. Grandal either catches or he doesn't. DH Eloy/Pollock/Vaughn on a rotating basis.
