The moment SOMETHING didn't make sense in UZR, people have to go crazy and say "see, sabermetrics = invalid, ignorance FTW" The new improvements in UZR, which take positioning and park factor into account, has Jason Bay at a +2 instead of a -13 he was given last year. Due to this, some guy at the Boston Herald and Deadspin decided to say sabermetrics = invalid and that Jason Bay deserves some kind of an apology. Nice research done... But it's almost a big enough sample for one full season (which to be honest with you, isn't really enough, but that's all we have). So I think it's fair to say that Pods has a slightly better arm, or used to at least. He doesn't now, not since joining the Sox.
